Here are the rules of aquisition: Get it while it's hot! You can claim any region UNLESS:1.It is not adjacent to your first region. 2.It is controlled by somebody else(see gif wars). 3. You have already claimed two regions for that day (RedQueen, Hawke, Afreindofurs, and The enemy gate is down all can only claim one per day, sorry guys! Tehe!)
These are the official rules of GIF warfare: An attack can gain you one piece of territory a day, and you can't go attacking anyone. You can only aid or be aided by allies you have a land link too, although if you're separate you can still launch separate attacks (ex. Vannah and Queen attacking Hoodie). If you're coming under two separate attacks, each targeting a territory adjacent to the other, you can use your gifs against one after using them against the other, but only once against each If you're being attacked by multiple enemies and some are not near you, but attacking through an ally, the same rule applies. It doesn't apply if they're attacking along a different front.
No repeat gifs in one war, but you can use them again in every other war. However, you can repeat gifs and pictures IF the first time you used them the defender didn't launch a gif attack on your page, or post links in response to the attack. Links act like minefields or stationary defenses, that inhibit an attack rather than stopping it. Also, here's an example of a rule, one about how territory affects attacking options. If Wolf moves East and comes in contact with Cpu, Hawke an Wolf could both attack him. But since Cpu can't reach Hawke, he could only attack Wolf. If Vannah helped Cpu with his permission, then she could attack Wolf, but Wolf and Hawke couldn't attack her until twenty minutes later when Cpu surrendered unconditionally.
(Note:The adjacent territory reuse rule does not apply toward islands, Hawke you dirty dog)
Your capital, the place(s) you chose on the first day, are very important. It has a black dot in it, or a white dot if your color is too dark, and acts s your base. It's easier to defend, because most territory is lost after a single days defeat. In the battle for your capital, the attacker must have more gifs two days consecutively, and you can only use each gif against one person once, every other war. The defender can build up their strength for a day, then counterattack every other day. So long as they don't lose the second day, they can hold out like this as long as their will and gif supplies last. But losing one of these causes the loss of every adjacent territory you have that isn't also a capital. It's hard to win, but if you do, the rewards are great. If you're defending a capital you've captured, you have no defensive advantage, but the loss of the surrounding area is still incurred when it's reconquered. This will let weaker nations have a fighting chance at surviving, if nothing else, and encourages the kind of defense in depth strategies used by Russia in the Napoleonic Wars, or that they effectively used in World War 2 - let the enemy lose momentum over a long attack, then force them back with a fresh counterattack. Since it's your base, your territory needs to be connected to it, by your own territory or an ally. If a territory has no link to its capital, then it becomes neutral, and one can be claimed daily by any neighboring nation. All the unclaimed territory is returned to the original owner if they reestablish contact.
