I started gaming in the early 2000s when I got a Gameboy Color and my brother got a PS2. Since then, gaming has become one of my absolute favorite hobbies. Currently, I'm trying to balance blogging, gaming, and the rest of my life, which is difficult because of my new addiction to Steam sales (why can't they hold off for a month or so on pricing great games at $15?) and my massive backlog.
My steam account name is "silbmaerto" and my xbox live account is "febtober swords." Feel free to friend me if you play the same games that I do.
Blogs
DLC Overload - Is there too much DLC? - This was my first blog. The writing's a bit stiff, but I feel that it gets the overall message across fairly well.
Video Game Novel Review- Bioshock: Rapture - This one was featured in Blog Herding: Community Edition 09/08/11 and in the GI Newsletter. It's probably my best blog so far.
Road to SWTOR: Can I Love an MMO? - This one was featured in Blog Herding: Community Edition 11/24/11 and in the GI Newsletter. This is one that I had been thinking of writing since August, but I hadn't managed to gather all my thoughts on the subject until late November.
My Top 5 Favorite Games Of All Time:
1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
2. Mass Effect 2
3. Fallout 3
4. Metal Gear Solid 3
5. Assassins Creed 2/Brotherhood
Currently Playing

I'm also the founder of Games Save Lives, an organization that runs charity videogame marathons that benefit disaster relief efforts. So far, it has raised over $1000 in donations for the ongoing relief effort in Japan after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster. No marathons are planned for the near future, although we are considering a third one in the summer of 2012.You can donate to our fund at http://dri.convio.net/goto/gamessavelives.
