Remember when I said that Borderlands was my GOTY. Well that all changed when my friend recently got a PS3 and let me play Uncharted 2 on it. Simply put, not a single game has ever given me such jaw-dropping thrills as this one did, combining great gameplay with a nostalgic Indianna Jones plot. Simply put, this is my new GOTY.
I haven't played most of this year's offerings, but Borderlands is easily my game of 2009. Simply put, it took the ingenious idea of cooperative play from Left 4 Dead, 2008's GOTY for me, and fully fleshed it out. Throw in seemingly unlimited amounts of weapons, and a unique art style, and this game is guaranteed to be a co-op classic.
