They were simply bringing to light something funny. They are trying to share with you something that made them laugh. I'm sure if Microsoft made an entertaining add series that they would say something about it. And technically all the "news" stories that run here are just blog posts. They've posted plenty of stuff not very news related up there. Like replay or gamebreaking. And where the f*ck do you get off accusing GI of being sell outs? Especially when you are accusing them of selling out to Sony. First off it is a gaming publication... so saying that advertising something game related is selling out is a little bit ignorant. Okay, it is extremely ignorant, especially when you are basing it off of one add. I don't see a Sony ad on the main page, I see one for Just Cause 2 and one for Bowflex. If they had actually sold out to Sony then there would be absolutely nothing on the site related to Nintendo or Microsoft at all and every where you look there would be PS3 ads. Plus Microsoft advertises in their magazine too so that along shoots down your apparent sell out theory.
