I've been in love with video games since I first played Super Mario Bros. on my aunt and uncle's NES. One of the saddest days of my life came when I was nine years old and had my SNES and N64 stolen from me. However, I see it today as somewhat a blessing in disguise, as it helped introduce me to other non-Nintendo franchises that are my favorites today, such as Ace Combat, Gran Turismo, and later, Call of Duty.
I see gaming as an emerging art form. I consider myself a pioneer of the media, and if you're reading this, you should too. No I don't make the games, but I play them, and that makes me and makes you a part of this blossoming form of human expression.
I really hope to get a job in the gaming industry. When I was younger I realized that just about everything I wanted to be as a child came from what game I happened to be playing at the time. However, I was scared that I wouldn't have the talent or ability to contribute anything to video game development. As I grew older, though, I started to feel I had a chance, that maybe I could do it. I'm still going on that chance. Wish me luck.
