Greetings everyone. As Blake (AKA thegodofwine7) posted last week, he and I have started a new Podcast on Leviathyn
Final Update: Alright, the second league is o
Interestingly enough, the last game from that list to release will be Call of Duty: Ghosts, on November 5th. Also interesting is the absence of Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, which is being heavily advertised as a cross-generational game, and is scheduled to release on November 19th. Given Call of Duty's involvement in this deal, it is safe to bet that the consoles will not release on or before the 5th, and Watch Dogs' absence means that the consoles will launch on or before the 19th.
In the last 2 weeks Ubisoft announced that Rayman Legends would no longer be has brought on a surprisingly intense conversation about Ubisoft's handling of the title. Many were upset that the game, which for all intents and purposes is currently completed, will not r
For quite some time now, I've been blogging on this site, and occasionally have posted some Vlogs, where I discuss different issues facing the industry, and voice my opinion about them. Yet there has always been always been something in the process that I've wanted to do, and that is to make my own gaming videos and share them. Well, as of yesterday, I finally am able to do that.
You all may have noticed, but I have been absent from the site for a while. While I'd like to blame it all upon my hectic work schedule which has seen me cover several shifts, as we had a massive turnover in personnel, it simply wouldn't be true. I'd also like to say I developed a thriving social life that keeps me busy constantly, but again, that simply wouldn't be true (I'm not anti-social, I'm just picky about my interactions with others). The simple truth is, I've been spending far too much time gaming and just haven't had the spark to write.
So, here we are. Day 31 of my 31/31 challenge. The last entry in what has been a fun and challenging experience. With this blog, I've made a decision. I will be leaving Game Informer to concentrate on writing for a new website that is starting up. I enjoy the friendships that I have made over these last five years, but it is time for me to try something new.
Last year, I did a top ten blog of my most anticipated games. Now it's around the same time of year, and the release schedule for the rest of this year and early part of 2013 is pretty well set in place, so I figure I might as well give a new top ten to reflect. So here are my top ten most anticipated games.
This past week, I've been coming to the end of Assassin's Creed 2. I've completed every assassination contract, completed every race, climbed to the top of every lookout point, found every glyph, and decoded and placed every codex page. There really isn't much left for me to do. However, I still have some achievement hunting tendencies (I'd use another word that starts with w and rhymes with door, but it is blocked by the swear filter). So, I started to look through all of the achievements for Assassin's Creed to determine if I thought I could grand the game. All of them seem fairly simple to do except for one, "In Memory of Petruccio."
Short blog tonight as I had a busy day today, filled with 9 hours of work, 3 hours of Fragfest, 3 hours of Batman: Dark Knight Rises, and of course, the puppy has demands of me.
I am seeing a recurring trend. More and more on internet forums, I am seeing users wishing for the downfall of one company or another because of their disapproval of a business practice by that company. On more than one occasion I've even seen people wish for another industry crash, because people think that it will somehow set everything back to how they believe it should be. I sometimes have to wonder if people realize just how moronic they sound when saying these things.
