The lights are on
There are so many people out there that are quick to say that master chief is a terrible character. I myself will admit that he is not perfect. However, the fact is that he is not as bad as people make him out to be. Master chief has a deeper side to him so long as you are willing to look. Master chief may at first seem like a shallow and meaningless character to many, but if you look at him and his relationship with cortana you can see a significantly deeper and emotional side to master chief. On top of this, in the rare instances that master chief does speak he seems to give us a deeper insight into his feelings (this is particularly true at the end of halo 2 and most of halo 3) and if this is not enough he occasionaly opens up to one of the other characters of the game as well (especially the arbiter in halo 3).
I love my parents. However, sometimes parents fail to understand or even try to understand video games or gamers as a whole. My dad for the most part does not really care. He does not play video games, but he does not see any problem with them either. On the other hand, there is my mother. I love my mother darely, but she fails to see any point to video games and flattly refuses to aknowledge them as anything other than a wast of time. She has no problem with bashing video games, or gamers for that matter and refuses to even think that it takes any amount of dedication or hardwork to make one, as if anytime someone wants a new game they just pull one out of their @$$. Does anyone else out there feel like they can sypathize with this.
