Game Informer: I try to blog often on this site, with various degrees of success. As you can see below, I have trouble actually writing what I want to say. My blogging backlog is forever growing. I write when I can get "opportunity" and "motivation" in a room together.

A bit of self-advertising: I've written a blog on blogging, hoping to get my experiences and tips out there to those who want to start writing. Keep in mind that much of what I say doesn't pertain specifically to blogging here at GI.com. This blog was recommended by the Game Informer staff, so I guess that says something. You can read the blog here.
Real Life: I'm a college student at the University of Oregon in Eugene. I try my best to be a studious, kind, open-minded person, and I let my "inner child" run rampant. I'm majoring in Architecture, which soaks up plenty of time (I work in studio for anywhere between 14-18 hours a day inside the same room; it can be more fun than it sounds). There's a running joke that only an architecture student would say "I have to stay up all night doing models on my desk" with dread.
Studied abroad Rome during the summer of 2012 for 7 weeks, and loved every second of it.
Being at the UO, it goes without saying, GO DUCKS! If you happen to be a Beaver, Husky, or Cougar fan, I'm sorry to hear that.
Music: I have a pretty eclectic musical taste, meaning if it sounds good, I don't mind listening to it. I don't stick to a genre, and I don't buy a song because it's made by a specific artist. Thus, if my iTunes library was a person, they'd have bipolar disorder: one second it's A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums," and the next you'll be listening to Sting's "A Desert Rose." Even though I have songs I wish I had never added to my iTunes library (and never have enough motivation to remove them), I still do have artists that I return to as the years roll on.
On the radio I typically listen to stations that broadcast hits from the 60s-80s, or ones that focus on current popular rock/alternative tunes.
Most Recent Favorite: "Ten Thousand Hours" - Macklemore

Movies: When it comes to movies, I will watch anything with the exception of the really weird and the really frightening stuff (I'm a complete wuss when it comes to most horror films). I love what I would call "smart action" movies, where the focus is on delivering both a great story and great action scenes. I love "Ip Man" and the Bourne Series for that reason: they balance action with story superbly well. I'm a sucker for narrative, great characters, and witty script. I've enjoyed chick flicks, psychological thrillers, and shoot-em-ups alike.

TV Shows: As for TV Shows, I typically can't enthusiastically watch anime or reality TV. I've recently started experimenting with popular British TV shows like Dr. Who, and am loving it. I also am a fan of some web series, like The Beauty Inside and The Booth at the End. I greatly enjoy White Collar and The Daily show, and have watched all of Avatar: tLA and LoK in the span of two months, so guess what I think about those shows. I miss Human Target and Lie to Me, which were great shows that had to be put down, unfortunately, as their writing began to stink something fierce.

Books: In today's day and age of videogames, Hulu, Netflix, and all the other digital distractions, I don't read nearly as much as I want to. It's not that I don't like reading, it's just I don't often have the desire to sit down with a good book. Usually I read a couple chapters from an action-thriller a day, but other than that, I don't read too often. I've got quite the back log: nonfiction from Jared Diamond, all the way to some Tom Clancy novels. For whatever reason, I don't treat books like I do movies: I can't read just anything.

Gaming: I love gaming as a hobby, am slowly switching to the PC as my main gaming system of choice, RPGs and Shooters are my favorite genres, and I just like to have a good time! Throw in a little competition and shenanigans, as I like to mess around in sandbox games. I've been gaming since I was a young lad of 7, and I was entranced by Pokemon and my GameBoy Color. Soon I evolved into a GameCube owner, then I moved to the Xbox, and eventually to where I am now: a proud owner of a 360 and a PC laptop.
Over time I've become more of a social butterfly when it comes to gaming. If you have an XBL or Steam account, and have room for me, send a friend request by all means. If I have the game you want to play, let's go for it.
I have a gaming-related comic strip in the works, but I have yet to actually make anything of it: tons of ideas, yet little time to flesh them out into frames. When/if I complete any frames for this strip, I'll post them at the bottom in an all-new section.
