  • "EA is by no means the worst company in America, no matter what an angry internet mob would have you believe." -Futter, Mike.  I'll let EA's statements on Battlefield 4 regarding their financial position speak for what a company actually does and should be earning. Or in EA's case not earning.  The EA hate stems from the treatment of developers prior to 2008. Rushed sports titles also make gamers suspicious of what kind of games they may receive. They also send mixed messages by saying things like "DRM is not a viable future!" but still do it. They can't even be honest about little subjects, you know, like the future of Dead Space. I remember Peter Moore lambasting journalists for saying its dead and than announce that it actually is dead. Things like that garnered distrust with gamers or how Futter words it "angry internet mob."  This kind of bias from Gameinformer is one of the reasons, none of my own doing, I ceased commenting here. It's ok to have an opinion, however, contoversy should be discussed in-depth and unabashed. on 10 Dec 2013 6:58 PM

  • For once, my luck wasn't so bad. I downloaded an equipment file for Panzer General 2 that changes aspects of the game, and one thing it does is make high end equipment, especially tanks, more expensive. In the base game, a King Tiger isn't all that much more expensive than a Panzer III. I also decreased the amount of prestige I get from 100% to 75% when starting the campaign, with prestige being money. So, where I normally have three full divisions, a significant air force, and the beginning of a fourth division, I have two small divisions and two squads. To say I was outnumbered would be a major understatement, I couldn't even get air superiority over the French. Towards the end of the battle, in an effort to end it quickly I had moved one division around the main defensive line, letting them quickly strike the objective and support troops but putting half my command between two groups of enemies. At first I advanced so quickly it wasn't a problem, but when I almost reached the objective they had caught up. I sat there for a minute, trying to think of the most efficient way to attack that one unit blocking me, and with the last attack managed to force it to retreat, something that was very unlikely. So I won, and didn't take a crippling loss. Still didn't do it quickly enough for a Brilliant Victory, though. on 20 Apr 2014 8:38 AM
  • Really ashamed of not playing Final Fantasy X sooner! I got the HD version of it about a week and a half ago and I'm loving it. on 2 Apr 2014 6:53 PM
  •  The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent; but if we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death — however mutable man may be able to make them — our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light. Stanley Kubrick on 21 Mar 2014 3:22 PM
