Reviews for 2015
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 9.25 - The best of Zelda is brought out through this game, but mechanics and limited dungeons hurt the experience. But it is still important to remember that it is a Zelda on a 3DS, so it is still awesome for what it is.
OlliOlli 2 9 - Great indie game, but its difficulty and lack of creativity hurt the experience.
BOXBOY! 8.25 - I did not realize how deep this game was until it went there and it went there right away. On eof the best puzzle games I have ever played, but it still felt too small.
Broken Age 8.5 - The game's story, humor, and puzzels make it an enjoyable adventure, but I can't help but feel like I wanted to play something every time I played it. The game had trouble holding your attention for as long as it needed to.
Splatoon 9.5 - Splatoon is the freshest game I have ever played and every moment of the game feels 100% satisfying. All the problems, like no voice chat and limited maps, are irrelevant. Once you start playing the game, they never feel like a problem. Except for the horrible pop stars. Besides them, the game is amazing and one of the best I have ever played and the best online shooter I have ever played. Those reviews have no idea what they are playing! They are missing out on the experience of playing an once in a generation game: an IP from Nintendo.
Affordable Space Adventures 8.75 - A very creative and humorous indie game made on the Wii U impressed me with the idea of controling many functions of a ship in order to survive a dangerous planet. Plus your ship is the junkiest model to every be witnessed by man. However, the game seemed unforgiving and unfair at times.
Rocket League 9 - The very idea of car-soccer is outstanding and being able to turn that idea into a successful video game is even more outstanding. The game is complex, but is just flat out fun and that is what video games are about. Now only if we could rely on those servers, then we would be good to go.
Not of 2015 That I Played This Year
Valiant Hearts 8.5 - I was touched by the story of the game and its story telling but the game is not creative in anyway possible.
CounterSpy 7.5 - This game was a good 5-hour experience, but it gets very frustrating at times hurting what the game does best; making you feel like an awesome spy. In the end it is just a good game.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf 9 - Addictive, fun, and creative for all ages.
Resogun 9.5 - This is the best shoot'em up I have ever played. This is the PS4's best.
Journey 10 - A Emotional and vibrant game that not only touches my heart, but reminds gamers what games are about.
2015 Movie Reviews (There will not be many)
Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron 4.5/5 Stars - This movie pulled off the best action sequences I have ever seen with many heroes with a meaningful story. The elements the add to this move are nothing short of fantastic, but a few mistakes kept the movie from a perfect movie.
Inside Out 5/5 Stars - Just go see the movie for yourself. It is just that good, you just have to see and words have a hard time explaining why it was so great and why it just became one of my favorite movies of all time. Expect to cry a little, thanks to Pete Docter's reputation of emotional movies. Just pure AMAZING!
Jurassic World 3/5 Stars - While the movie was successful I still found plot holes and the ridiculousness of anyone thinking that a mega hybird dino was a great idea. Overall though, it was a great suspense movie with great CG-I.
Ant-Man 5/5 Stars - At SDCC, DC showed us that they believe dark and realistic superhero movies are the future and I sat and watched with disappointment. Ant-Man did the opposite of DC and made a heart-filled, goofy, and comical comic book movie and I thought it represented what superhero movies are. Ant-Man does not take itself seriously, but are superhero movies serious? No, and that is why Ant-Man is likeable by a much wider audience. Did I mention it was really funny?
