I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Education. Yes, I am a teacher and a real life coach.
I first got into video games so that I knew what my students were playing. I kept going with it because I have found that video games give you a chance to act out a story or book with your hands. They give me so much enjoyment I often day dream of building my own games.
I play everything and anything I can get my hands on. When I was younger I was strictly a sports fan. I would only play games that where based on real-life figures. But, the more I play the more I learn and it has helped me connect with my kids and that is part of why I play. So if you have any games you want to recommend, just hit me up and I will try them out.
3 years ago I played my first shooter and got hooked on the competitiveness of them. I am very competitive and loved to be challenged. Then someone gave me Oblivion and I was done for (one of my favorite non sports games ever). Now if I can find it, I play it. Xbox, PS3, Wii, DS, you name it. I'm trying to get more into online gaming and plan on giving games like World of Warcraft another try. I started a character, didn't enjoy it and now I think I am ready to give it a second chance.
Computer games are my biggest weakness as I have never gotten into playing them or using a keyboard as a controller. My goal is to build my own computer, giving me insight into how it works and hopefully set it up so I can actually plug a controller in and play whatever games I decide to try. We will see though.
I just went through a big move this year and I love my new home. Montana is very different than inner-city Portland. For one, farm animals aren't something to stare at evidently. It's still new for me though and I can't help but be shocked every time I drive by and see a kid on a horse.
