Just a gamer. I wouldn't call myself a hardcore gamer, but not casual either. I've played for quite a few years, and I've gotten to know my way around. With only a Wii and DS, it's hard to find good games out there, but I haven't gotten enough money for a new system yet. Hopefully that will change. For now, if I find an interesting game, that I can't get, I just go find a video walkthrough online. Not quite the same experience, but It's just a way to make up for it. I mostly like the lesser-known RPGs, mostly because they have the tendency to break free from the mold (as long as they pull it off.) I also enjoy action games, as long as I can find good ones for my system. Same with strategy games, but I'm less attracted to those.
I find that games are the best form of media out there. You get the visual representation that books can't give you, but keep the wonderful stories in there. They can tell more in-depth tales than movies can without the time limits. They integrate music that can pump you up or pull at your heartstrings, and can blow any rt museum out of the water. Games, within themselves, are an art form. Don't let anybody who hasn't played them tell you otherwise.
I'm also a big fan of music. By big fan, I mean the person who shells out 50 to 100 bucks on a good pair of headphones. The kind that downloads 300 songs at a time and weed through every song in order to find the best experience (yes, don't worry, I have a life.)
I'm also working as a writer, currently working through a couple novels. I doodle a bit on my spare time as well. Both my writing and aforementioned doodles are on my website link, if you're at all interested/
That's just a bit about me, as a gamer. Wish you luck in this crazy world of 1's and 0's.
