There I was, scaling a larger than life pillar to get to the shrine at its peak. I clung to a portion of the wall with just a short distance left before reaching the top when the rain hit. I slid down a bit and was forced to halt my progress until things cleared. This was when I realized how amazing the open world of Hyrule in BotW truly is.
I finished Horizon this past week and it was fantastic. Once I finished I dove a bit deeper into BotW. I had been playing BotW in between sessions of Horizon, but I hadn't done anything more than explore and climb towers to open up more of the map. Now that I have gotten a bit deeper into BotW I can't help but notice the incredible similarities between it and Horizon.
As I browsed the Hulu catalog one last time before deciding whether or not to ditch the service completely I came across one of my favorite old cartoons from years past and decided to keep the service just so I could re-watch it. Samurai Jack is one of those kid cartoons that stands out from the rest. Yes, it tells the story of a fated samurai who is destined to destroy the ancient evil of Aku, but there is much more to this show than a simple plot.
Whelp, here we are folks. A full 48 hours have gone by and with a reasonable amount of time with my new handheld...er console? Whatever the hell the Switch is to you, I am happy to say there is a new contender in the ring.
This weeks CWC brings up one of my favorite gaming memories from last year. I played plenty of great games in 2016. Some old, some new, and some that made old new. While I enjoyed a wonderfully diverse list of games last year there was no classic game I played that had an impact on me quite like The Legend of Dragoon did.
It's only February 7th and so far this year is kicking my wallet's butt. It has been an especially heavy start for Sony fans. The PS4 alone has already had Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Tales of Berseria, Yakuza 0, Fate/Extella, Gravity Rush 2, Digimon World, plus Resident Evil 7 had PSVR support and today we got Nioh! AND THAT'S JUST THE PHYSICAL RELEASES! I've been selling games for a long time now, but never before have I seen a beginning of the year start as strong as this one.
Gravity Rush 2 is a game packed full of content. There are plenty of missions to play, challenges to attempt, and a whole LOT of collectibles. Gravity shifting is what makes this game shine brightest of course and every aspect of the game expects you to master that core mechanic.
