I've been gaming for all but about three or four years of my life. When I was about three years old my parents had me playing mario and some old ass pc games that no one remembers. Now I play a little bit of everything.
I truly started gaming in full force during the PS2 era, playing adventure games like crash bandicoot along with various sports games. My PS2 library to this day consists of at least 100 games if not more, which for a kid with no money was a good number.
Once I discovered Steam and its irresistible sales and thousand strong library, I was sold. I bought a gaming laptop and started building a pc library. Within a year the laptop had died in the worst way possible - a harddrive failure. So I did the only logical thing, I spent a crapload of my savings on pc parts and built a newer better desktop gaming rig, which other than filling up a terabyte within a year, I have had little trouble with.
Today, the gaming addiction I cannot seem to break is buying games rather than playing them. I'm ashamed to say that I've "beaten" less than 20% of the games in my steam library and as such have a ridiculous backlog. In spite of this, though, I can't seem to stop buying new games to try. I'll play them for 30 minutes and then leave them sitting. ITS MADNESS I TELL YOU.
Obviously, I'm still mostly a PC gamer these days. I claim no position in the "master race" but PC does have its perks. Occasionally I'll fire up the old PS3 or on a more rare occasion the PS2 for some nostalgia.
