The lights are on
L.A. Noire is a little different from anything that you've seen before, especially from Rockstar. For once, you are on the right side of the law, doing your best to bring the criminals to justice. I could write a summary of the plot, but really, you can read the main review for that.
I recently rented this game from a local store, and went into it a little worried. I had heard the game was fun, but not as great as the original. Being without Xbox Live, I loved the focus on the single player experience of the first, since that is lacking these days. Knowing that multiplayer was added in a game where I didn't think it made much sense, I was afraid the single player section would suffer. In the end, I guess it probably didn't make too much of a difference, as a lack of originality and newness is what keeps this game from greatness.
Yeah, so it took me this long to finish this game, you got a problem with that? :)
I'm going to be honest: for a while, I was obsessed with this game. I forget the reasons why I first picked it up, but I'm certainly glad I did.
A first-person non-shooter? Could be interesting, I thought. So I decided to rent this little title, as I heard that it could be beaten in several hours. No need to waste $60, right? Thank you, Blockbuster!
I've been waiting for this game for a very long time. As only the second game that I've ever pre-ordered, I had very high expectations. I watched the videos on IGN (yes, I'm sorry, I betrayed GI), and read up as much as I could on the game. When I finally had the game in my hands and started playing, I was not disappointed.
