  • E-Pals: Dexter

As winter treks on here in the U.S. and the eternal cold persists in the U.K. where Karl lives, Karl and I have been working on more ideas for E-Pals. We're looking to change things up a bit. This week we're not really doing that, but at least we're not talking about video games!

  • E-Pals: Grand Theft Auto

Hi! I remember the first time I played a Grand Theft Auto game. It was GTA 2 and I didn't like it. Driver released in the same year, and while it had no out-of-car action I enjoyed it a great deal more (Driver: San Francisco was the latest entry in that series and it rules). I actually passed on GTA III when it released despite hearing a lot of praise about it because I was a kid and thought it was like the second game.

  • E-Pals: Uncharted

Season three of E-Pals has finally arrived! This season we'll be welcoming another guest and expanding our discussions even more so beyond video games. But to kick things off, Karl and I chatted a bit about what is now arguably Sony's biggest franchise: Uncharted.

  • E-Pals: Metro

I'm a huge fan of both of the Metro games. Karl is as well. However, we disagree on which of the games, 2033 or Last Light, is better. The season finale of E-Pals is dedicated to Metro, so read on if you please to witness an argument and some adoration, predictions, and wishes. Thanks for reading.

  • E-Pals: Tomb Raider

Hiiiiiii. I was 8 years old when the first Tomb Raider released. I did not play it when I was 8. I played it a few years later, having rented it from a local video place. At the time I was wowed by it. It has aged as well as a pumpkin left inside a volcano for 37 years, but I still play through it every now and then, letting waves of nostalgia crash over me and help me forget that my dad never returned from that trip to Walmart.

  • E-Pals: Xbox One/PlayStation 4 First Year Retrospective

    2

The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 both released about a year ago, the One on Nov. 22, 2013, and the PS4 on Nov. 15. Sony is on top of this console generation so far with the PS4, which has outsold the One by a significant amount. In this week's E-Pals, which is actually the following week's E-Pals although there were will also be an E-Pals this week, Karl and I look back at the first year of both consoles. It was a year full of ups and downs and swerves and reversals and great games and not so great games. Let's get this show on the...blog.

  • E-Pals: Batman

    1

A few weeks ago on E-Pals, Karl and I discussed one of Marvel's biggest superheroes, Spider-Man. Well, we felt that, with so many games featuring him, including one that's releasing next June, it would be a crime for us to not also chat about the arguably greatest superhero of the DC Universe, Batman. We hope you enjoy, and as always, thanks for reading.

  • E-Pals: PlayStation 2

    3

To kick off season two of E-Pals Karl and I decided to discuss what is arguably one of the greatest consoles of all time, the PlayStation 2. The PS2 is really the console that paved the way for what video games are now. It also in and of itself was home to a lot of amazing games. Below Karl and I will be sharing some of our general thoughts about the console, naming some of our favorite PS2 games, and going off on a tangent as usual.

Superheroes are awesome. It's a fact. So for this week's edition of E-Pals, Karl and I share our perspectives on one of the most popular superheroes ever, Spider-Man. It should be a rootin', tootin', web slingin' good time! Punch me in the face.

  • E-Pals: Sherlock Holmes

E-Pals arrives a day late this week, but to make up for it we added a guest! Tony Chavez used to work with Karl and I at SpawnFirst.com and since he knows a good bit about Sherlock Holmes we decided to include him in our discussion of England's greatest fictional detective. With the recent release of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, we thought this would be the perfect time to share our adoration of Mr. Holmes.
