Just dont waste their time, if you make an appointment keep it, those guys work really hard and most are good people, but some give them bad names just trying to make their quota. If your information goes through the first time with no red flags you can go to MEPS I would say within the week, and they provide transport, and from what I hear you take the ASVAB, then stay overnight(not sure on that though because I think it could be doen in one day)and then take your physical/IFT. As soon as that dones and they ok you, all you have to do is sign your contract, he will make sure you get there on time and to the right place. So it can take anywhere form a week to a couple of months. Just be ready for the physical and IFT. That's a good group for a .223, Ive never really got hands on time with that caliber, I had a .308 and a 30-30 and My groups weren't that good. I could put them all in a pie tin at 150 yds but not rapid firing. :) I wish you luck though either way you decide, and whatever you do finish highschool!
