  • Is the Kinect-less Xbox One really that great for the long term? Time will tell, but they've really lost a key differentiating factor that I've heard many praise, and now any potential invention in the motion control space is truly effed. The One's Kinect was super advanced and had huge potential, but no dev will gamble on an optional device that won't guarantee a compatible audience. Cliff Bleszinski once said that if MS sucked up the bad press and slower sales of the online dependent version for a couple of years, they would be reaping the benefits of a future-proofed platform in the long run. After all, Sony sold PS3s at a loss for 4 years, but they turned it around by adding to the platform, not reigning things in out of denial. They grew the services until they were attractive and patiently watched the cost go down. I wonder if Microsoft even knows where they're going anymore. on 13 May 2014 11:38 AM

  • I get on this site occasionally and I just remind myself I used to play games so much more than I do now. If anyone ever checks this sorry I don't post more. Life just gets in the way you know.   on 9 Feb 2015 2:15 PM
  • Oh, I forgot how monetized the game is, which I continue to try to ignore.  The fatality coins have NO business being in here, I don't like how Goro is always on the main menu screen to try to sell us him and yet he's the sub boss in the Tower Mode, is part of the random challenges and is fully playable and is obviously finished...yet he's cut off as dlc?  No...no on so many levels.  The fact he was a pre-order incentive is equally wrong and has zero justification.  He was a finished character through and through, cut off to be teased and then sold.  Tanya is equally bad as she's i nthe Story Mode and fully finished, yet she's part of the Kombat Pack....Jason, Predator and Tremor are fine, they aren't in the game in other modes (so far) and that makes me feel that they are in fact post made characters.  Regardless if it's Netherrealm's choice/complacency or it's WB pulling the strings, but MK X has got to be one of the worst dlc based games, second only to Evolve.  i'm ok with skins/costumes being sold... I'm ok with new characters being sold to us... I am NOT ok with characters that are in the main game on release to be showcased to us and inexplicably cut and sold to us. on 18 Apr 2015 7:30 AM
  • Carson was only temporarily banned. Learning this, I reduced the number of >'s in my name. They're still worse than Superman 64, but not as much as they were. on 5 Feb 2013 9:18 PM

  • Skyrim with enb series looks pretty great if you ask me. With the right mods, it looks better than most games released last year. on 23 Jan 2015 9:39 PM
  • Okay. I thought I knew what I was in for when I played Bloodborne. I knew I'd like it a lot. maybe even love it. But it has exceeded every expectation that I had. The atmosphere is out of this world good. Little touches that remind me of REmake. Like individual wall sconces that have candles in them with flickering flames. Volumetric fog in certain locations. Beautifully dark and Gothic architecture. Areas with colorful flowers leading to a forested area. the gameplay is stellar as well.  It's going to feel a lot different going back to the slower pace of past Souls games. The quickness of movement is liberating. I haven't even beaten it yet and I've put in a lot of hours. If the quality keeps up like it is, this will officially replace Demon's Souls as my favorite From/Miyazaki game. It's that good. on 28 Mar 2015 9:59 PM
