The lights are on
When the first Left 4 Dead came out, the only time I stopped playing it was to eat and (sparingly) to use the bathroom. When L4D2 came only 1 year after, I felt like I had just chugged a bottle of ecstasy and rainbows. Incredible gameplay, great voice acting, the awesome new melee weapons, and LOTS of zombies, all make this one of the best games of '09.
Before this game came out, I would have never said there was any possibility of anyone creating the perfect game. Well, MW2 took that statement, blew its head off, dropped it out of a helicopter, shot it with an RPG on the way down, then walked up to the corpse and pumped it full of machine gun rounds (for good measure). I have never seen a game so beautifully made and scripted so that every element come together with absolute presicion.
An incredible improvement over the first AC. Better Graphics, improved story and gameplay mechanics, and for God's sake, A FLYING MACHINE. Creeping through back alleys and stabbing Italians has never been more fun.
In a word? BAD. Hard-to-use controls, eye-sore graphics, and just plain boring gameplay. Even if this game was free I wouldn't reccomend it. Actually, If they paid you just to take it, I wouldn't reccomend it.
Finally, everything that annoyed me in other war games (tanks, enemy-filled buildings, watchtowers, etc.) ARE AT MY FREAKIN MERCY! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I get what they were trying to do with this game...but i kinda think it should have been done in the first place. I already have a copy of the first game, and I really dont plan on spending more money on another story and a few improvements. Overall, an alright game (and concept)... but not great.
