The lights are on
God of War 3 is a fun enough game to play, while it lasts. Kinda' short, I passed it in 9 1/2 hours. It's incredible to me that a game with so much money invested into it could have such corny dialogue. I don't wanna say it ruined the game, but it disgraced it so much. It left me thinking with what coulda' been. Or how Bioware would've made this game unbelievably good. Why couldn't the geniuses at Sony Santa Monica think, "whoa, that line was kinda corny". For example when Hermes appears and sings this flamboyant little jingle describing Kratos story. We know what's happened to Kratos, it's been repeated to us a million times since the first game! I found myself thinking the whole game, man imagine how cool if this guy said this, or said it with a more serious, dark side greek mythology apt tone.
Mass Effect 2 is an experience. From the moment you put the disc in, you are immersed into a futuristic universe. This games sucks you in and never lets go. When you think or need the story to let down or cool off a bit, it doesn't. It only gets better and more intense.
Heavy Rain is an interesting game to play. It literally does feel like you're playing through a very dramatic, gloomy movie. Perhaps the whole feel of the game is what made me give it a mediocre score. I found myself having trouble relating to the characters and could not seem to get over the crappy voice acting. Some were okay, some were terrible, like Scott's partner, wow, horrendous! I even switched to Spanish a couple of times but found the same level of crappiness.
