IN CASE YOUR VIEWING THIS PAGE TO FIND FODDER FOR AN ARGUMENT AGAINST ME IN ONE OF THE COMMENT DISCUSSIONS MIGHT I PREFACE:
My opinions come from being a gamer4Life, I hold no loyaly to any particular brand because I believe in quality over loyalty. I'm what the industry deems a "Late Adopter" meaning I prefer to take the wait and see approach to making purchases, especially when it comes to things as expensive as games and thier consoles. If I have an opinion on anything it's the result of exhaustive research combined with knowing most everyone I know is a neophile whom jumps on the next shiny trending thing, which gives me the luxury of directly observing peoples satisfaction with a product so I can make an informed game purchase(kinda like the theme and name of this website). That said I'm as loyal to a brand as they are to me, We in a country with so many encroaching rights, have one true power in a market driven system, buying power, If a product is sub-par or doesn't deliver on expectations it sucks, but if a company continues to do so they should be punished for it by voting with our wallets, not encouraging them with blind adoration, like with children if you dont respond to something wrong they did, They will continue to do it. So my plea to my fellow gamers and consumers at large is do your homework and stop supporting companies that take you for granted, I'm looking at you *coughs~apple* fanboys. And before any of you respond, I think Apple makes a great product but they would probably make a better product if you guys would stop rushing out to buy essentially the same machine (a good machine but the same machine fundementally with some window trimings)every few months.
That said I'm an Avid gamer since the days of Atari, I will never give up any of my systems and gladly revisit all of them to my hearts content as they are all hooked into my entertainment center. Thats right TO Hell with emulators they just dont hack it for me. I even collect failed systems just for the fun of playing crap games and appreciating them in all thier crappy glory like a bad movie(sounds like a contradiction from my statement earlier about markets but I'm buying these things from third parties decades after they were produced, so not a red cent goes to the guys who make these stinkers). I love the whole spectrum of games, and actually pride myself on how dillegently each generation Ive endevoured to create a well rounded collection. I'd like to think my imaginary kid one day will appreciate it, at least right now I do, especially when I'm feeling nostalgic.
