I can be a bit of an arse. I mean well. I just hold gaming up on a pedestal and don't easily forgive stupid things, like walking in circles or missing obvious items, while I watch someone play. Games are easy and if you have played enough of them, long enough, there are no real surprises in how to beat a game or section of a game.
As a long time gamer, (I remember when Pong was the 'it' game) I have a long list of games that I have enjoyed. Everything from 'Pitfall' on the Atari - 'Portal 2' for the Xbox 360. My favorite genres are RPG, and Platforming. I do not get online too much anymore because I do not have time to play the MMO's that are out there anymore or get good enough to compete in any FPS. (I work too much now)
Biggest complaint about games:
It used to be that you had a stack of games and could go through them one after the next in only a few hours. Games went from being short 10 minute long fun games to the now 40+ hour sagas. With how busy life has gotten for me, I often do not have the time to play enough to get interested in a long game anymore and I lose interest. I wouldn't change a thing about where my life is going and how busy I am with my job, but it makes me have to be really picky about which games I pick up. If I kept a list of all the games that I 'want' to play, it would be pages long and date back a few years now.
Other things about me:
I think cosplayers are awesome, even though I have never done it. I like the time and effort these people put into it.
I am very active. I disk golf, golf, am on (at various times of the year) a soccer league, Rugby league, volleyball league, and softball league. Living in Colorado, I hike, tube, white water raft, camp, and snowboard. (Best day has been when I went up at 5am to snowboard and in the afternoon I played a round of golf.)
The rest of my life revolves around working, 3d animation, and gaming.
