I began playiing the Atari when I was four years old. My favourite game at the time was Berserk. I used to hold the paddle upside down, and somehow my savant brain would figure out how to play the game this way. I hold controllers properly now. Ironically, these days, I never invert my controls.
From there came Mario and Double Dragon, Blackthorne and Crono Trigger. When I played my first Playstation game (Resident Evil) my testicles dropped. That's not really true.
My favourite games are any that contain A.I. that surprises me. Same goes for physics engines. I love games that offer something incredibly fun, and then shovel more incredibly fun things on top of it (Dark Cloud 2, Dragon Quest VIII, other games that are not necessarily made by Level-5). I love games that excite me. I wish I was employed because these days there tend to be more than ever before.
The game I am best at is likely GTA IV. The game I am worst at is likely Rock Band. Particularly while drumming.
