The lights are on
Whether it's Half-Life's well-polished single-player experience, Left 4 Dead's intense multiplayer mayhem, or the amusing puzzle-like experience that was Portal, it's hard to argue with Valve pedigree, but you can certainly try if you'd like.
I think that Valve will end the series with it by revealling that Gordon Freeman is G-man or if they don't end the series, either Alyx or Dr. Kleiner will die or maybe they will reveal that Dr. Breen didn't die in HL2 but at the last second he successfully transported himself to the combine overworld. What's your opinion on this?
I honestly believe that when we beat HL Ep3, we will still never know who G-Man really is. I actually want it like that. Its much more fun speculating who he is, it keeps the franchise mysterious and interesting.

i think youll have to fly the helli in the bg wehn that thing kills that chicks dad and go find it and blow it up and destroy the combien for good
Ep 3 will not be the end.
There will be a Half Life 3. However I believe before HL3 Valve will rewrite the Source Engine from the ground up meaning its a long way off. Ep 3 will introduce Aperture Labs directly into the HL universe. A portal gun in HL is possible or maybe some other crazy invention from Aperture.
I think they will go explore the aperture labs fire the device from it and they will transport to the combine world..... leaving further time for half life three
Gordon and Alyx save the day.

i actually kinda hope hl3 is the last one for some reason
Probably because it's taking a century for it to come out. I would like to travel to Xen though, and possibly explore other places or races in future IP's of the Half Life universe. It's one of my favorite and most prescient science fiction cosmologies, so I'd love to see it explored more through DLC and possibly new but interrelated narratives.
