What's Happening

The Official Call Of Duty Group

You like shooters because you like the sense of power they give you. Few games are as skilled at making you feel like a competent warrior as Infinity Ward's Call of Duty series. Every bullet has a story. Take a moment and tell us a few of yours.

  • Yes, I eagerly await the return of Black Ops. May it return in the style and glory that is to be expected from the Call of Duty franchise.

  • I just hope E3 dose demos of the multiplayer, but also the campaign so I can see first hand what this new side mission stuff is all about and what the multiplayer looks like since we have entered the future. Mainly want to see the guns if they look too futuristic or not and if the tech that we have seen is going to be in the multiplayer, and how it's going to be used in a way that makes it fun and enjoyable.

  • As long as they continue the trend of modern day or future warfare then I'll be satisfied. I've had my fill of WWII shooters.

  • @Private Forrest Gump

    I agree

I don't think they will show any multiplayer at E3. They will probably hold of that info for a later date. Single player will be shown as always at the beginning of Microsoft's Press Conference. Also I hope they don't renew that timed DLC deal.

Yea your right. I agree with you on that, I hate that, it needs to stay even. With MW3 it is really bad 1 to 2 maps per month it gets old fast, with Balck ops it was much better and not much of a problem because you got 4 maps like every 2 to 3 months so you had more to play in the time you had to waite till the next ones came out and Xbox still got them a month before PS3 but with the 4 maps it made it not so bad. They do need to get rid of that and lets hope they don't renew it, or activision just refuses it and makes it fare. Stop bribing people microsoft just so you can get more people to buy your consoles.

  • I bet Sony tried almost as hard to get them (Activision) to release map packs first. The problem is that Sony just can't throw around the kind of money Microsoft can.

  • Well ***... the exclusivity deal is still happening >:(

Oh well. That demo for Black Ops 2 was alright though. I don't know how I feel about that scope being in Multiplayer. Also Mark Lamia was shooting every where and looked like he hasn't played an FPS before.

  • That was funny. Yea the deal sucks, but I'm sure that treyarch will give PS3 something that Xbox won't get like they did with Nuketown 24/7 in BO1. I was mad that they didn't show off those side missions that they were talking about that can effect the overall campaign that would of been sweet. Sony should of demoed it also and mabe showed us those side missions, but it was just microsoft, Sony actually should of teased us with a Zombie preview that would of been excellent and would of stole the show from there.

  • Well during GTTV's E3 special on Spike, Geoff Keighly said that they were going to show the side missions in action but I missed it. I am currently looking for the video but can't find it.

Also, if what I hear is true, on June 21 we might get a Zombies preview. But that is just a rumor.

  • Go to G4tv.com It was shown on that and it looks awesome can't waite, getting to controll your squad is going to be intresting.

  • I wonder if the guns will be any diffrent, also what the online gameplay will be like.

  • I don't think it was.

  • I'm really excited for Black Ops 2, but to me, the biggest thing it has going for it might be it's greatest weakness. Is it possible that it's changing *too much* of the franchise? Yes, change is needed in CoD, but there's a reason Infinity Ward never bothered to truly innovate, and that's because CoD's formula is tried and true, and it works. I think I'm going to wait until reviews for BLOPS2, instead of jumping on the hype train.

  • Infinity Ward never bothered to truly innovate because they didn't care, they rather stick to the boring old stuff and cut corners, this game is all cut a paste. Infinity Ward wanted one thing an one thing only and that was money, they didn't take time to see there product through, they just tried to get things together as fast as they could so they can start making money instead of making a product worth talking about. Treyarch has changed alot of things and I think its for the better, I'm glad that it is a whole new COD and not just the same stuff with just updated things here and there. Change was needed bad and treyarch was the first to deliver, this COD will be the one people talk about for years to come, and not the COD that could of been but never was (MW3).
