Black Ops 2 Rumours

  • With the recent release of some multiplayer info I decided to post this up to see what everybody thinks so far. For me I think that they are heading in the right direction with the ability to choose what pro version of a perk that we want insead of both features is a realy new and innovative idea to incorporate. Getting rid of final stand and death streaks all together is cool, its about time they did this. But what puzzles me is it says that they have incorporated rocket launchers and grenade launchers in the care package system, so are they getting rid of them as a secondary or what? We will have to find out later down the road I gusse. Also they have added a scope as a point streak with the ability to look through walls, with this in mind I think that this could be a good idea, but I also think that this could be a bad idea. Specialist package is back but has been tweaked a bit instead of getting all the perks you only get those that you have chosen and it takes more kills to get them now, so that means you will have to work twice as hard to achieve them. That brings me to my final discussion Elite 2.0 it says that they will have more opportunities for clans to get xp and also for a clan to just have an overal better experience with the incorparation of tournaments.

    Remember these are only rumours!

  • Um where did you hear about these rumors?

That scope you mentioned sounds like a bad idea unless they are only for snipers.

Its a kill streak, I don't know how they are going to implement it onto the gun with attachments already on the gun i.e. the Red Dot Sight but we will find out.

  • Isn't this ALL RUMORS?  Nohting has been confimerd right?

I guess  I will weigh in.  BOps wasnt my favorite by anymeans, and usually i prefer IW games.  But, I do dislike a few things from MW3 and hate to say it....but between Blops and MW3, i prefer the maps in Blops.  I still to this day dislike the maps in MW3.  They have grown on me somewhat, but overall they are TRASH.  Maps are one of the more important details to me.  MW3 gameplay with MW1+2 maps would have beent he best FPS to date imo, but the maps just kill it for me.

Anyways, I hope Blops 2 removes the currancy unlock sysetm, prefer the way IW does it where you have to work for certain unlocks by completing challanges; I like that.  I hope it plays better than BO1.  I hope they keep the dive, and the removal of the RC car BS is my favoirte news.  Elite 2.0 should be WAY better than 1.0.  I don't hate last stand as much as most, but I would like it gone as well as deathstreaks in general.  I wan't the gore levels like WAW.  I don't want staking killstreaks.  MOST IMPORTANTLY I WANT GOOD MAPS!

  • I would definitely like to see the gore from WAW also, with your arms and legs getting blown off is cool and more realistic than just falling down after getting blown away, or flying through the air with your arms flailing like an idiot. I liked the currancy system it made it more fun, with MW3 it's boring unlocking the same stuff every prestige, but with the currancy system you can choose what to unlock first. If you don't want a certain thing then you don't have to buy it which make is better.

I want to see a map like Nuke Town, that map was so much fun. I don't want staking killstreaks either that's one of the reasons why I liked BO you had to actually try and get your kill streaks, and not get a chopper and then just sit in the corner and let it kill so you can get a much higher killstreak BS. Getting rid of the lag compensation would really be good, BO'1 didn't have it so lets not implement it in BO'2. finally  THE SPAWNS BETTER BE GOOD!

  • Ya my team lost a round terribly on nuketown because of spawn trapping. nobody got a kill on my team.

  • Damn, what gets me is they know the spawns suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk and they are not doing anything about them! The game has been out for all most a half a year and this *** is still a problem, they need to get on the ball and get this stuff fixed ASAP. The spawns are mostly the thing I b*tch about if they would just fix them I could care less about the lag comp and all the other BS.

I hope they do this it sounds awesome and it will get people to try new things. If they do this I will need to see what will be good and also if I can still get high kill streaks with my choices. That is what makes this idea cool it gives players more options, and it becomes more challenging. Now people are going to have to try new things instead of runing to same stuff, now you might not get the perks you always ran, or the gun, and the atachments on it, your going to need to change up your stratagy now. This is a great idea and I hope they put this in.

  • Wait... I don't get this at all. So you need points to make classes?

Because this doesn't sound like it's giving us more options.. It seems more limiting

  • The only way I can see that working is for bigger guns taking up more points for the ammo, such as a light machine gun taking up 2 point or an RPG taking up 2 points. Maybe a noob tube would take up 2 points in the attachments. But I don't know if this will go over as well as they're thinking. It seems gimmicky and may not lend to a strategy as much. There will still be overpowered items and those will be whored on, just like it is now, but will you be able to put on a class to null that out like it is possible to do now? I think that the perks are what really needs to be redone from scratch and maybe the equipment too. Neither of them have really changed and there's always a few that are overpowered and used by everyone. Hopefully they figure something out that is new, refreshing, and a lot of fun. I don't really have my hopes up for this though.

Thats the point you still get like 10 loadouts, but each one you can only put things in it up to 10 points so you don't get everything. You might not get a secondary or a lethal grenade, or the perks. You might only be able to choose 2 or ones that don't cost much based on the rest of the things you chose, or you might not get any. It makes it more challenging and fun you need to stratigize on what you think is important to you and what you can do without, but still do damage and win. It changes up peoples playstyles and reworks it, now you are not relying on the same things on every class, you have to figure out what goes well with what.

Im sure that the more power the gun has and how it differs from the the rest of the guns will determin the point price, the launchers will be alot. Perks wise the ones that are most used are the ones that are going to be the most, like steady aim, slight of hand, and ghost, mabe even hardline, the rest will be less expensive. Atachment wise the noob tube will be the most and the rest will be probably the same price just depends on what optic you like best or are good with. Secondaries are just going to be based on power and firerate, if its just pistoles like BO1 was who cares just comes down to what ones you are good with. What I want to know is if it is going to be divided up on weapon types or is it going to be just pooled together, because some submachine guns are better than assault rifles are those going to be more than those assault rifles or is it just in a class of its own? So like if I wanted a MP7 in my opinion is better than lets say the M4 would it cost more to get the MP7 or would it be less because the M4 is an assault rifle? This is what we need to know because if its the other way around I don't know if I would want it because it wouldn't be accurate. They need to take inconsideration of each aspect of the the gun and what effects it has on the the player, like with the LMG just because the ammo is alot dosn't mean it should cost more than any other gun, the LMG has less damage that is why you have more ammo and the recole on them is more, also you are much slower when moving with one, so it should cost less than some assault rifles and submachine guns. These are the aspects you need to consider before pricing a weapon in the game

  • I'm not sure if I like that actually... The only way I'd say yes to that is if there is a way you can gain points. Other wise that seriously sucks

  • Your just one of those guys who can't live without certain things, who needs to rely on the same perks, weapons and attachments. Its pushing you to use diffrent things, that is what a true gamer is all about being able to adapt to certain cituations and not relying on one paticular iteme to get them by. They might have a system that you gain mabe 2 points every so many prestiges kind of like the token system in MW3. All I can say is don't get so attached to paticular items mix it up, then you will find out that this idea is good, and not so stupid as you put it.

  • Hey guys I found this video that has two guys talking about Multiplayer in BLOPS 2. It's pretty much the same thing that PVT Gump was talking about with the allocation points and the even describe a new wager match.
