The lights are on
This is you one-stop-spot for all thing Battlefield. From 1942 to Bad Company 2 and beyond, this is a great place to meet other players, talk matches and even recruit new clan members.
So, I'm a very recent convert into the BC2 fold, and by and large, I gotta say, it's way better than that OTHER modern-day shooter out there. But...
Are you f**king kidding me with these weather effects?
I mean, at the moment, I've just finished about half an hour of trying to storm the cliffside station in the Sangre del Toro level, and although I've been killed a dozen or so times, and gotten a fair amount of kills in the process, you know how many enemies I've actually seen? Like four. I know they're there, because they're showing up on my radar, but I CAN'T F'ING SEE THEM UNTIL I AM ALMOST LITERALLY ON TOP OF THEM.
To say nothing of that G.D. Snowblind level. </rant>
I'm not the only one who feels this way, right?

It's not that bad, it might just be your TV that makes the weather effects stronger.
Haven't even started Campaign in BC2. The online is too addicting :)
It was never really that bad for me.
I actually turned up my brightness a bit to be honest. I understand where you're going with this though. The snow level was the worst for me though. But hey, at least they aren't on multiplayer. Even though I think that'd be cool if they were.
The only time the weather effects blinded me to the point I couldn't see was during the driving sequences. And the effects were so amazing it made the action that much more intense. Had I driven through a plume of snow and debris right off the cliff I would have been upset but somehow I managed to keep it on the road. Oh man it was so fun.
I play on an SD TV most weekends because I get carted off to the girlfriend's parent's house. The dust effects on the MP maps makes make it difficult to drive the tanks. I mean it's bad enough I'm playing 480 but then the wind blows and I can't see jack.
i really dont have a problem with the weather effects or dust at all. yeah i cant see through the smoke or dust or effects, but that's why they're useful to me in multiplayer.
