The lights are on
This is you one-stop-spot for all thing Battlefield. From 1942 to Bad Company 2 and beyond, this is a great place to meet other players, talk matches and even recruit new clan members.
There was a achievements challenge going on where people sent in what achievement they'd want in. Then there was a vote and the achievement The Dentist won.
The Dentist - Get a headshot with the Repair tool.
Well now I know what I'll be shooting for when I get on online.
Ya, I hope that people wouldnt try to get this achievement (I dont want to see my teammates running around with power tools trying to get kills) But rather just let it happen. For instance, if you see a sniper, and your moving in for the knife kill, just switch to you power tool.
This looks like a cool achievement. It should be like 2 or three headshots though, but it depends on how hard it is to kill someone with the power tool.
I saw a sweet video montage of power tool kills. It doesn't take to long to kill people with it. So I guess when I have a repair tool and can knife someone I'll doit!
If you post it, they will troll.
I'd be like "OH!!! Drill to the face!". but the thing that's been on my mind is that the engineer is way too overpowered: An SMG, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun? They should've kept the specialist class like BC. And it looks like shooting is easier with the SMG because it has iron sights. They should've also kept the SMG sights like BC1. And I havent seen much of the shotgun combat either.
But not everyone will use the engineer class. I suspect many people will be the medic class for easy revive and heal points.
And support, ammo points are easy too.
I'm glad they are bringing back ammo giving. Going to ammo crates was a pain.
The thing is though, the demolition(?) class only had a Shotgun and Rocket launcher and was mainly used in close quarters and defensive points. Now they are combining the specialist (The stealth class) with the defense class, but really just excluded the specialist class altogether and gave the Demo guy a new gun to go all offensive with. But I guess it's a good idea seeing how the tanks are now going to be the most powerful things in the game. I've seen it take 4 shots and not be destroyed, so i guess it'll balance out in the end.
Well most people didn't like playing demo as it was in BC1, You had to be close range to do any damage to anyone and half the time the vehicles were taking out other vehicles, so might as well give them a decent weapon to use.
But then again, it's like "Leave it to the recon class to go place C4 on tanks and Objective crates.". Too me it just doesn't make a lot of sense.
Yeah but also, they might of thrown some new stuff in there for the recon class. So whatever, I'm sure they will balance is out.
Anyone else notice they had not put those j-dam bringing things in the beta? Except now it brings in A-10s. Jesus, what you can do with those things.
But anyhow, i think that they gave Recon the C-4 because they dont want to have many lone wolfs, and so they would need to come and help. Nothing pisses me off more than a team full of snipers, andi find myself doing the work
that's pretty cool in my book. apparently you can also kill with the medic's defibrilator, which i didn't know. lol

I think having C4 as an attachment or special ability would be better than to limit it to 1 class.
