What's your favorite weapon that was used in the Final Fantasy series, regardless of whether it was used by the good guys or bad guys or used only once?

I have to go with the gunblade, it might not do the damage of the massive swords in the form of Cloud and Auron, but it offers the greatest functionality. Also, when I think of the gunblade, I think of that scene in Indiana Jones when Indiana thinks he's being slick by shooting the swordsman and I imagine the swordsman had a gunblade and just ends the series right there.

My personal favorite is Sephiroth's Masamune.  I always marveled at how insanely long that sword was when I was younger, and when he took out that dragon in one hit in Cloud's flashback, it was even more awesome.  Even to this day, it is still my favorite weapon.  In fact, someone gave me a replica of it for Christmas one year and it is still on display in my room.

The whole reason I included bad guys in the question was so that people could include Sephiroth's sword, looks like I was right.

The Masamune, both Sephiroth's and the weapon from the FF 1 remake.

Also, the gunblade is awesome.

I think it's Apocalypse that I like, since it had 3x materia growth rate and was an extremely useful weapon in 7 when players were grinding for AP.

I also have to admit that I loved the Ragnarok in VI, since it randomly casted Flare and did critical hits using your MP. Others liked the Illumina, but I preferred a non-elemental spell.

I'll have to go with Atma Weapon in FF6. You could deal tons of damage with it if your character was geared right and with semi full health.

I liked World Champion from FFX. Wakka was horrible but the ball was pretty cool.

Caius' sword is pretty awesome, too.
