The lights are on
Whether you feel like the original Fallout titles were better than 3, or never played the originals and are just wondering how Bethesda's amazing reinvention stacks up to its isometric predecessors, this is where you can meet up with other wastelanders and
I'm not entirely sure, but I think I may have found a reference to Oblivion in Fallout: New Vegas that hasn't been found before. At least I assume it hasn't. I searched for any threads relating to it, but couldn't find anything. I even looked at a list of references and Easter Eggs on the wiki. Anyway the reference (or Easter Egg) is near Ranger Station Charlie, south of Novac. In front of the entrance, there's a line of utility poles. On some (not all) are metal plates that read "RPB-25." All the ones with plates say this except one. To the left (north, I believe) there is one that says "TES-04." This is the only one in the nearby vicinity to say this. The reason I'm not sure is it's a pretty vague reference, but it's also the only one I found to say this, which made it too much of a coincidence.
You're not the first one to find it, but you're correct in your assumption
Yeah, that's been found before.
Maybe because I wasn't really looking for it, but I didn't notice it
I haven't noticed it before, but I will go back to check on it.
It's not really a surprise to me that Obsidian used an Elder Scrolls Easter egg in NV. With Bethesda publishing it, and Skyrim was, what? A year from coming out. I can see NV having an Easter egg or two in there.
It would make sense, found it the other day...it is very interesting how someone could take the time to actually notice it.
I've heard that there is some kind of Indiana Jones reference in New Vegas somewhere.
If you have the Wild Wasteland trait, I believe you can find a fridge with a skeleton in it, which is a reference to the "nuking the fridge" scene from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I see, and you can pick up a "gambler hat", I think it is, from the skeleton found in the fridge.
I though that was funny. When I found it, I had Dogmeat, so I couldn't pretend I was Indiana Jones :(
You mean Rex?
That's when you send back Rex to The King.
Holy crap! I meant Rex! *shamelessly goes back to playing FO3*
Huh. never noticed that. And I thought I had an eye for these kind of things.
