The lights are on
We could say that the Elder Scrolls games are massive, but that would be an understatement. Think you've seen every sight and completed every quest in the series? Think you know where the series is headed next? Why don't you share some of your knowledge he
Which play style do you prefer? Only if you had to pick one complete pure style. No mixing at all! Hard to choose huh? My choice would have to be Mage, but only by a hair. So pick, Mage, Warrior, or Thief.
im going 2 hav 2 go with warrior because fighting is my fav if elder scrolls were a online multiplayer i would pick a fight with anyone in sight so that would have 2 be my fav
I would have to choose thief archer or mage because the hand to hand combat system used in The Elder Scrolls is terrible. I know that's going to get a lot of backlash on this thread, but it just feels lifeless compared to other games. I guess the Souls games have spoiled me with that combat system. I never played TES for the fighting anyway, I play them to experience the world of Tamriel.
^YES. ImNickson that's good. Elder Scrolls weren't meant to have amazing combat systems. They want to drop you into Tamriel.
I'd say thief, it's how I always play because I'm a wuss and I like to hide and then ambush. I play like this in Fallout as well. But the new Thief section has no direct aggro-combat related skill, Archery is now in Warrior's which is stupid. :/
I knew that saying anything negative about TES here would not go over well with everyone but I'm fine with that. The great thing about TES is everyone experiences the game differently. If a lot of people enjoy the hand to hand combat great, if you don't (like me) then you can choose a different alternative.
I'd probably be a warrior, just because of the fact that the thief has 0 real weapon/armor options/upgrade trees/whatever the hell you call it.
Whichever one gets the job done fastest. No. I like warrior, cause you just look awesome. I don't care how long it takes to kill the enemy, unless it's a dragon priest. Then I want the job done ASAP. Those things scare me.

Why choose one when you can be whatever the heck you want? As such I like to be any combination of two Fighter-Mage Fighter-Thief and Thief-Mage and if I'm feeling really conflicted I will try a Mage-Fighter-Thief.
Well, I am usually a bit of all three, but if I had to choose it would probably be warrior. Although, being a mage is really awesome. However, my first instinct when it comes to battle is to get my sword out and slash my enemy to ribbons.
My point was if you had to pick one, of course you can be whatever you want. It was a made up scenario.
Thief, it's better to not be there when your enemy strikes than to block, and it's better to only strike with critical blows than to get into a prolonged battle with weapons or magic..
Eh... Thief would be last on my list if you have to focus exclusively on thief skills. There are no damage dealing skills for thieves; you'd have to fall back on skills that belong to either warrior or mage (even sneak attacks have to use 1 handed, 2 handed, or archery skills). It's a toss up between warrior and mage. Either can be highly effective all on their own.
I've got a full set of Deadric armor enchanted with as many magica and magica regen enchantment as i could throw on, so i guess i would classify as Mage and Warrior, though if I had to choose between the two it would have to be mage
you could call me a weapon collecter but that dosent mean i dont use them. overall i would have to say all because i am a level 100 at pickpocketing, i have a dragon chest peice, a daedric helmet, ebony gauntlets, and blade boots, i also use conjured weapons more than regular weapons
Thief...there is nothing more satisfying than launching an arrow from 50 yards away and watching your target slump to the ground...wow that sounded dark as hell haha
