  • does anybody know were to get a good bow

  • The really good bows come after you reach like level 10, or if you are playing the pc version of this game, press the ~ key and type in "coc testing hall" which will transport you to a room with a whole lot of doors and nothing else. But, behind these doors, you will find various weapons, armor, and special items, which you can sell for a lot of money. One word of advice tho- when you type in the above, make sure you type in tgm, which will give you God Mode: unlimited power, strength and etc. As far as the console version, you may just have to wait for level ups or there are special quests where you can get a magic bow(the dark brotherhood, I think). Good luck to you!

  • Bows are fun when you go around stealthily assassinating people. Backing up and shooting as something attacks you is no fun.

Just wait to level up if you have the 360 version (DAM YOU MICROSOFT!!!!) since everything is leveled.

If you post it, they will troll.

  • speaking of stealth, who here loves to hear what ppl say when you are in stealth mode in a dungeon?

    Mmm...pickle juice!

  • I do. I don't kill anyone in dungeons if I don't have to, because a couple weeks later I have forgotten what they said and I listen again. But I love bows, right now though at level 7 I use a steel bow. I am waiting to finish the main quest, and fighters and mages guild, then get a high level before doing dark brotherhood, because some of the rewards for doing the bonuses in the assassinations are really good bows.

  • I usually am a battle mage but I recently became an archer which in all honesty has been a pretty good experience. I am going through the thieves guild to build up reputation then joining the fighters guild to begin my noble quest and then decending into darkness by joining the Dark brotherhood. I leveled up really quick so I already have all elven armor and weopons so im enjoying the rogues life.

  • If you spend close to an hour doing Fighters' Guild missions and you do the one from Anvil (I think?) about killing the Thieves, kill them all and that will get you about 4 or 5 enchanted bows, and a pretty nifty 2-handed sword that drains health.

  • Or you could do the Dark Brotherhood missions. During the storyline, my bro got this sweet bow called Shadowhunt which does a good job for him. It's a real good weapon for anyone on low levels.

  • Nothin like hiding in the grass and killing innoc-oops i mean bad guys. Unfortunatley hiding does little good. It's awesome in the dark brotherhood quests to eliminate people like that. I use to be a longsword and axe type of guy, but now i use a shortsword and my elven bow to eliminate them. I wish there was more of a climbing element because it'd be awesome to snipe from a roof. If it's called sniping when using a bow ha-ha! My favorite bow is an unenchanted (but you can enchant it) bow found in a cave in the DLC Shivering Isles. Its an elven bow called Lthian or something. It's hidden well in this river area of the cave next to a dead body.

  • @YoshiMan... I agree!  Shadowhunt is one of the best bows for the more stealth inclined gamers. It's the bow I always used until I got a better one from the Duchess of Dementia after you complete the "Conspiracy" quest.. It's an awesome bow..

    ^^
