The lights are on
Hyrule-heads unite! Green tights welcome. The Legend of Zelda is one of gaming's most famous franchises, and the power of the Triforce is collected here.
I know we all have our opinions on whether or not a Zelda game can or should use voice actors, and a think I found a good argument for the pro-voice side of the argument. I stumbled across some info that I didn't know before, and was curious if anyone else did. There are ALREADY official Nintendo developed Zelda games that are fully voice acted.
It was a series of downloadable games released in Japan on the Satellaview peripheral for the Super Famicom. They were updated/reworked version of the original Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past and, sure enough, they are fully voice acted in Japanese. Link still doesn't seem to talk, but everyone else does.
So, there you go. Voice acting in Zelda is not only a perfectly viable option, they've actually done it before.
