I guess it sounds like R* has decreased the amount you get for doing hideouts and the only way to get a good amount is to be in a large public session. Bad news for people like me who find the best way to level is just doing hideouts over and over in private free roam. So places like Twin Rocks where I could get 1000xp now I'll only get maybe 500xp if I'm by myself. Pretty lame R* did this if you ask me.
Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up.
Hmm, sounds pretty sucky - but I imagine it was balanced due to the ease in which that sum of xp could be earned? I never even got around to doing a gang hideout in free roam, when I do multiplayer I've mostly done competitive modes.
So you're going to be getting less xp points for when you do it by yourself when it's harder. Then get more xp points when there are more people to help and make it easier. Doesn't make very much sense to me.

Difficulty doesn't scale in some way to match the amount of players around?
crap... ill have to message my cusin this was his strategy to get legendary... gang matches for me now.
This is annoying, gang matches barely give any good experience as well, hitting 50 is going to be annoying as hell.
Nope, same amount of spawns either way (unless they changed that too, but that's not as minor a tweak).
if you go to LAN i think you keep your online rank and the patch doesnt apply to LAN so try that guys.
Yeah, but then you can't steal people's cookies and spill their milk.
wtf when could you do that normaly?
Oh, you know, when they've got a bounty on their head, when they're trying to run a gang hideout in peace, when they try to collect a bounty on you, when they try to grief your posse so you camp then instead, when you kill their horse as soon as they mount up to run away, you know that sort of thing.
ah yes that *** rocks!
i got legendary 1 doing twin rocks this kinda sucks...
thats what i look like
that it does colin that it does...
I imagine that the new mission pack might be a decent way to gain xp; once it's up and running properly.
