The lights are on
You're a sneaky person. You've snaked your way through terrorist infested islands and helped save the world from nuclear annihilation countless times. Don't just sneak around these message boards. It's time to be heard.
This seems to be the general feeling on this site regarding this game but I can't help but think mgs4 might have been laying the ground work for mgs5.
For instance, I don't have to tell anyone by now about the Rising connection at the very end a mgs4.But what about the other pmcs? Through codec transmissions in mgs4 you may have caught a couple conversations about the french man who runs one of them.
Another revealing development I caught was in the epilogue when they were talking about how many soldiers were going through sop withdrawal , which seems like a pretty obvious set up for the next uprising, perhaps for the replacement of the sop system. Anyways what do you think? I just want to talk possibilities or lack of.
PS, to anyone who payed better attention to those codec transmissions, I'd like to know what I missed.
As konami is presenting, the series is not over dude ! The Rise of Raiden is about to begin and continuing the MGS saga
For me, I would really love for Kojima to make the franchise rest for a while after the release of the 3DS remake and MGR.
NO. in fact they are releasing a new game. its called metal gear solid rising and will become availible for ps3 on friday november 2 of 2012.....meaning we have a little under a year. This game is a highly anticipated game for me and i would be glad to give you or anyone else the updates!
DOn't worry bro, Hideo Kojima already talked about MGS5 and NO MGR is not MGS5 Rising is just Raiden's story, and a bridge between MGS2 and MGS4 in the eyes of Raiden, plus ojima is not in charge of that game, he just gave Platinum the go ahead to make what they want. PSM had an interview with Kojima, and he said he already is starting to work on MGS5 though he doesn't have an idea, if make a game with Big Boss or Solid Snake or another character, he said that it may not be the sequel of MGS4, but he is not sure. You can find information going to Playstationmagazine.com or just google it 'Kojima confirms MGS5'
MGSR does not take place between MGS2 and MGS4... it takes place several years after MGS4.
If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.
So you are trying to tell me, that what Kojima said it ain't true, the Rising story, is the story of how Raiden becomes a cyborg, it takes time between MGS2 and MGS4 look it up...
No, I'm telling you it changed. Once Platinum Games took over the timeline changed. The story is no longer about how Raiden became the cyborg. Look it up. In fact, check the article that GI did on this site about it after Platinum took over. Or the article in Game Informer magazine. Or the wiki. Or pretty much any current info about the game.
yeah, well I don't want to say that GI is wrong, but I haven'r read that so I dn't know if its true, but why don't you look the info up, in face, the interview that PSM did to Kojima, they talk about that bridge between MGS2 and MGS4 Kojima is not in charge of RIsing, but he still in charge of the story tell and the timeline, cause that's his series. Go see for yourself at playstationmagazine.com and look it up. Besides, how come that be a sequel by Raiden still been a cyborg, when in MGS4 in the end, Raiden's new body is human like? lol you think I will post something in here if Im not 100% sure? I talk facts bro.
Apparently you would post incorrect info. Because you did.
There are 4 links to current info about the game.
Time Paradox is all I can say!!!
@maxiboy77, Not really . Honestly, we can officially think of Rising as a cancelled title, and Revengeance as a completely different MGS themed Bayonetta styled action game. Think of it like that people and you won't feel crushed this fall.
Plus, that could be really really awesome, if you can get past what I'm assuming is going to be pure blasphemy for the series in terms of story telling.
yeahh, is so sad a lot of people hate on a game that hasn't come yet, and technically I am one of those, but is just when i saw the first trailer launched at 2010, I was so excited, like seen that stealth combined with slicing action, and the ability to cut whatever you want, i said Kojima did an excellent job maintaining realism with the stealth and new action to the games, when hear the series was passed on I was scared, and when i saw the new trailer, that you need like 20 slashes to cut a single soldier, I just panicked lol jk jk, but still I'm still thinking about giving it a chance, all will depend on the reviews and feedback it has...
A sequel should not follow MGS 4, and there should not be too many more prequels. In my opinion, Raiden can't fill the colossal shoes of Solid Snake or Big Boss. He definitely shouldn't continue the series. Honestly, I would kind of like the series to be over. Ground Zeroes and Rising might be cool, but milking a series as amazing as this wouldn't be a good idea.
I agree man. They better tread carefully if they don't want to screw up the great ending they gave Snake for MGS4. Raiden is just average, so I don't see him being worthy of the Metal Gear name for too much longer before he gets tiresome. I'm still really really looking forward to Ground Zeroes, as long as its the last Big Boss game for a long time. One of these days, they're just gonna have to come up with some new Snake.
