The lights are on
You're a sneaky person. You've snaked your way through terrorist infested islands and helped save the world from nuclear annihilation countless times. Don't just sneak around these message boards. It's time to be heard.
This seems to be the general feeling on this site regarding this game but I can't help but think mgs4 might have been laying the ground work for mgs5.
For instance, I don't have to tell anyone by now about the Rising connection at the very end a mgs4.But what about the other pmcs? Through codec transmissions in mgs4 you may have caught a couple conversations about the french man who runs one of them.
Another revealing development I caught was in the epilogue when they were talking about how many soldiers were going through sop withdrawal , which seems like a pretty obvious set up for the next uprising, perhaps for the replacement of the sop system. Anyways what do you think? I just want to talk possibilities or lack of.
PS, to anyone who payed better attention to those codec transmissions, I'd like to know what I missed.
As konami is presenting, the series is not over dude ! The Rise of Raiden is about to begin and continuing the MGS saga
For me, I would really love for Kojima to make the franchise rest for a while after the release of the 3DS remake and MGR.
NO. in fact they are releasing a new game. its called metal gear solid rising and will become availible for ps3 on friday november 2 of 2012.....meaning we have a little under a year. This game is a highly anticipated game for me and i would be glad to give you or anyone else the updates!
MGSR does not take place between MGS2 and MGS4... it takes place several years after MGS4.
If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.
No, I'm telling you it changed. Once Platinum Games took over the timeline changed. The story is no longer about how Raiden became the cyborg. Look it up. In fact, check the article that GI did on this site about it after Platinum took over. Or the article in Game Informer magazine. Or the wiki. Or pretty much any current info about the game.
Apparently you would post incorrect info. Because you did.
There are 4 links to current info about the game.
@maxiboy77, Not really . Honestly, we can officially think of Rising as a cancelled title, and Revengeance as a completely different MGS themed Bayonetta styled action game. Think of it like that people and you won't feel crushed this fall.
Plus, that could be really really awesome, if you can get past what I'm assuming is going to be pure blasphemy for the series in terms of story telling.
A sequel should not follow MGS 4, and there should not be too many more prequels. In my opinion, Raiden can't fill the colossal shoes of Solid Snake or Big Boss. He definitely shouldn't continue the series. Honestly, I would kind of like the series to be over. Ground Zeroes and Rising might be cool, but milking a series as amazing as this wouldn't be a good idea.
1 Peter 3:15 (NASB): "But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence."
I agree man. They better tread carefully if they don't want to screw up the great ending they gave Snake for MGS4. Raiden is just average, so I don't see him being worthy of the Metal Gear name for too much longer before he gets tiresome. I'm still really really looking forward to Ground Zeroes, as long as its the last Big Boss game for a long time. One of these days, they're just gonna have to come up with some new Snake.
