DLC is not a requirement, but is always encouraged.

I wasn't expecting to hear the group suggest Red Faction Guerrilla with such enthusiasm, but I am pleasantly surprised. That game has exceptionally fun multiplayer that so few people have ever experienced! Best of all, it can be picked up for a pittance even new.
That's a difficult choice, but I went with GTA IV. The prospect of sucker-splattering fellow GIO'ers with a garbage truck is simply too enticing to pass up. Also, why isn't Black Ops an option? I just figured it would be.
For everyone voting for GTA, I merely pose this question--why simply run over or shoot someone when you can COLLAPSE A BUILDING ON THEM!
I'm going to point out that Guerilla has the BEST multiplayer that noone has ever played, while a rather more sizable chunk of us have already experienced GTA multiplayer.
For anyone caught on the fence about buying Red Faction, go for it! For $13 (price used at GameStop,) you get a long, awesome single-player campaign, alongside the aforementioned stellar multiplayer.
The reason I'm begging so hard for your votes is that I know how awesome a Guerilla FragFest would be. Please, just do it!
Remember, variety is the spice of life!
I have Red Faction and liked the campaign, but try as I might I just couldn't get into the multiplayer. I would rather have a familiar game with a different group(as in, "friendly bunch of like-minded fellows" and not "jaggoffs who rap into their mics like someone actually gives two s***s"). It's just my opinion, though. No need to go spreading it around.
Red Faction FTW! Lol. Its the only one that I have on the list and it sounds extremely fun! Lol
I voted for GTA IV- hoping peeps come with at least TLaD for the DLC.
I don't know if anything has changed in the years since I traded in Guerilla, but the matchmaking options in there were terrible when I played, and I couldn't get into a lobby with friends. If it's still like that, it doesn't seem worth the fuss; hopefully it's been remedied.
Also both games, and every game, needs theater mode; makes for much more interesting and inclusive wrap-up vids.
I'm torn.... Waddledee you make a good argument. I have a few days to decide, so we'll see.
I went with Red Faction Guerilla. Might be the only way I get some achievements in that game.
RFG also, tied it up!
@Fever Ray- Who said we would play solely matchmaking? I've tried private matches with friends before, and getting friends into your lobby is quick, non-buggy, and easy.
On that note, I'm thinking anytime we're wrangling more than 8 people at a time we need to be defaulting to private matches. No XP is earned, whatever, the complications from screwy matchmaking have hindered us from starting past events in a timely manner.
FragFest Matchmaking Nightmare - Homefront. God what a day.
Hmmmmm. All these would be a good choice.
I certainly hope Red Faction wins because I don't see myself participating this frag fest.
