GIO FragFest: Camaraderie through digital bloodshed
Any idea how one would set up a private match on PC?
Thanks for the tips, but my problem is the flight controls themselves, gunships more than planes though the latter will take getting used to too. (Don't know if you can help with controllers.)

Flight controls really aren't that hard. Once you take off, push the right stick slightly forward. The left thumbstick controls direction, wheter you want to turn left and right. The right thumbstick controls helicopter orientation. Up puts the nose down, down brings the nose up, and left and right rotate it in the respective directions. This is useful in adjusting speed effectively and making sharp turns. It takes some getting used to, but it really isn't that difficult.
@oriongamer i think we had more than 8 at one time because we had a full party with other people still playing the game.
And can someone confirm console private matches being played alone? i would love to practice flying everything (i suck) also if we could put other people in private matches we could practice dog fights and manuevers so next time we play together, we dominate.
I don't think private matches on consoles are possible. But you have a good idea though. I always thought I was a good jet pilot, but yesterday I encountered someone who was beyond good. This guy managed to pull off incredibly sharp turns to get right behind me and no matter what I tried I could never shake him off my tail. So I think there is still much I need to master.
@Opfer der Seele:
Thanks for the tips. So default controls are inverted, right? At least forward/backward; I think that's part of the issue. And can't recall whether they're adjustable. That said, I thought I heard a friend talking about private matches on PS3. But having just searched the Web, looks like they said no console private matches at launch, suggesting there might be some in updates or DLC. Here's hoping. Also, there's a suggestion there might be no player limit for starting private matches? Not sure if that's the case on PC.
Controls are inverted. Pulling the thumbstick back brings the nose up and pushing the thumbstick forward points the nose down.
I really hope they add private matches I mean, sometimes it's just more fun playing with just your friends anyways.
ya private matches would be amazing, hopefully they realize this and make it happen
They had the tutorial level in 1943. You learned everything and got to fly to your hearts content. Not sure why they haven't redone that.
idk if they can do a patch or update for something like that but to me that would be a HUGE plus in my eyes, here is hoping they can and do
