The lights are on
Do you have a game that you have unlocked Platinum in? Or two? Or three, or more? Do you like going trophy hunting and reminiscing about your unlocked ones? This is the group for you my friend.
Christ Mr. J! How many total trophies do you have?
I have 12:
God of war 1-3
Assassin's Creed 2
Dead Space 1-2
Jak and Daxter
I'm almost about to platinum God of War chains of olympus. so... 13!
I have six currently:
Mass Effect 3
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2
Batman: Arkham city
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (the one I'm least proud of)
Lots more I'm close to, but I just haven't had the drive to plat:P
Don't hide your plats Carbonite, embrace them! lol
I just platinumed madden 12. That's my 2ndplat. Real close on ac2 and walking dead.
I was close to getting that AC2 platinum but my save got corrupt and I had delete it. Since then I haven't had the heart to replay it. Well, that and the fact that I'm not a fan of the series.
I think I'm gonna go for that Uncharted 2 platinum, I'll have The Walking Dead platinum before that though.
I personally really enjoy the AC Series. In fact I'm getting AC 3 tonight or tomorrow. I can completely understand why you wouldn't like it. What specifically makes you not a fan though?
A number of things. The first one I thought had so much potential but it got too boring after 30 minutes. You do the same thing throughout the entire game. AC2 improved and that's the only one that I can say I'm glad to have played it but after that halfway point the missions began to be the same and I just wanted to see the end and get it over with. Brotherhood was the biggest disappointment for me in any AC game. Everything that I liked about AC2 was taken away, the map was smaller, the combat was uninteresting and it didn't have any missions that I thought were worth shouting about. Revelations was the exact same as Brotherhood, the only change was the Altair levels and the god awful Desmond ones. Rev and Brotherhood were so identical, boring gameplay, small map, uninteresting story and so on.
Overall I think the series milked its way with Ezio, he was a good character and all but I got tired of him. The combat has always been the same, hold down block and spam the counter attack button, you could kill 10 plus guards with your eyes closed. The story seems to do too much, especially with the whole Desmond story that not too many seem to care about. I just feel like I'm doing the same thing throughout 4 games and nothing has changed. It has little challenge and little reasons for me to be impressed.
Even if I wanted to I probably wouldn't be able to get 3 tonight since that Hurricane is hitting pretty hard (and I don't have it pre ordered). I have 50 mile hour winds blowing and a branch is due to hit my power lines soon.
First off, I hope everythings alright with you. Thankfully the hurricane isn't doing too much here atm.
I can agree with you on it getting boring and the missions being repetitive after awhile. It always took me awhile to beat the AC games because I can't just sit and play the whole game straight like I can other games. I hated the Desmond levels in Revelations as well. I'll also agree that they did milk Ezio. I enjoyed the story however. As for the combat, it is kind of easy, but I don't really have a problem with it because I play games like Demon's Souls if I want a challenge. Assassin's Creed is kind of like an interactive book to me. I'm hoping that AC3 is better though, closer to AC2 than Brotherhood or Revelations.
I almost have the Borderlands 2 platinum, but Terramorphus is giving me a hard time. Has anybody here defeated him?
I know Mr. J has, he even platinumed it. He's kind of quiet on this site but he's one heck of a gamer.
