The lights are on
You like raw power. You love playing the hottest looking games on the most powerful system out there, and you can't imagine watching a movie that isn't on Blu-ray. That's why you bought a PlayStation 3 in the first place, and that's why you're here.
WHAT WOULD ANYBODY DO TO EXSPIRIENCE THE NEXT FF? IT APPEARS THAT FFXIII IS GOING TO GIVE A VERY GOOD IMPRESSION ON ALL RPG GAMERS LIKE MY SELF! ANY TAKES ON WHAT WILL BE SHOWN AS FAR AS GAMEPLAY, STORY AND OFCOURSE CHARACTERS?
I am still conflicted on only playing the Party Leader and still don't know what to believe on the story's (not?)linear plot.
However, I am very excited to experience the new gameplay, the new look and the epic Esper battles, let alone figuring out all the mystery surrounding the game's protagonist.
There is a topic for this in the FF forum. If you want to read about how I think the FF franchise has gone to crap, go read it there.
If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.
I'm excited. :D
I was slightly disappointed by X, XII though... While I enjoyed them they just didn't rank as high as IX or any of the earlier games. *Except VII... Got to admit that one is pretty low on my list of favorites*
I figure even if I don't super love it, it will be a few hours of amazing eye candy and I will be purchasing it.
GIOR Sponsor stuff :D
i think they have gone from better to much better! i still play the FFVII on my ps3 and hell yeah i'm waiting this one since 2006!!
I hope this won't go the way of a lot of series where they totally sell out for mass popularity. I'm uber skeptical regarding the summons are cars thing. Sounds to me like Square Enix has been smokin way too much peyote. But its Final Fantasy so I'll give it a chance. I gave XII a chance and was quite pleasantly surprised.
.... they are on their thirteenth game and have a following VERY few other games have. I don't think they are worried about their popularity more than they are about changing your experience with the RPG genre. Playing only as the party leader sounds cool, as long as you can change the party leader that is. That's all I really want to know about this one, but even then I'll be picking it up and playing it.
Good point I stand corrected. Within the gaming community it is a huge phenomena. However if I'm in school and I hear someone talk about video games there is little to no chance they are discussing Final Fantasy or any RPG. Modern Warfare or Halo maybe. Thats all I meant when I said mass. Its probably just the place I live and the fact I just got the internet a week ago but I only know one chap, as in that I've met in person, that likes Final Fantasy. Not to be nitpickey or anything but itd probably be more like 18th game. Can't forget the Tactics' as well as X-2 and Crisis Core. Im probably forgetting more.
Actually, just as all game franchises are, they have slowly been trying to expand their fanbase. The use of pop music instead of symphonic scores is proof of that. More proof becomes evident through the change from story driven epic RPGs, to visually stunning graphical action games with very little story, i.e. X-2, Dirge of the Cerberus and XII.
