  • Hey you guys just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has ?'s  So ask away and me or anyone else who has put time in the game will lend a helping hand.

Anything from bosses, items, covenants,or even events. Hope to see the community band together and survive the nightmare together.

    Cheers

  • Where's the best place to farm those annoying upgrade stones or are merchants my best place to get those?

  • For Titanite Shard and Large Titanite Shard I would fight the Lesser Knight and the big Knight on Sen's Fortress' rooftop using the Gold Serpent Ring that gives better drop percentage (which is also found in Sen's Fortress).

It's also convenient that the souls you gain while farming the shards can be used to buy the same shards (and Green Titanite Shard) from the Vendor that's on the roof as well.

Demon Titanite can be gained from Titanite Demons...which is also in Sen's Fortress on the very bottom haha.

    Anything you need specifically?

  • Just the shards needed to get to +10 for ascension and shards to upgrade the high quality weapons. But where exactly do you get that gold serpents ring. I've turned Sens Fortress inside out and the only shiny I couldn't get to is right across that first bridge when you first enter the fortress and get past the first pair of blade pendulums.

There is a body on the right side of that bridge that's hanging out a window or something like that. I've tryed jumping and rolling to it, but I couldn't get anywhere close. I really hope you won't tell me that it's there lol.

  • Yep that's the ring, and I also thought the only way you could get it was via jumping off the ledge. But you actually have to go around to get the ring.

When you're trying to go for the switch for the boulder instead of going up, go down (turn the boulder's direction first, though) and eventually you'll come to an elevator...just don't take it up due to spikes on the ceiling haha.

And watch out for certain chests, they're mimics and they're special move will kill you (but they do drop stuff if you kill them, so lol).

  • Ooh just got that ring. My item detection stat thing jumped to 300! I got so much cool new demon weapons from mobs in Anor Lando lol.

Also finally upgraded my first boss soul weapon.  Used Sifs soul to make the cursed great sword. Will have to have another play though to get that other sword you upgrade from the +10broken sword, lol.

Now I'm trying for the darkwreiths covenant, just drained New Londo Ruins and feel bad for having to kill that one NPC for the key, lol.

  • See, I meant to make the Cursed Sword, so I could use it in New Anor Londo, but I made the wrong one and ended up with the Divine one.

Also, the dude just gives you the key if you talk to him after obtaining the Lordvessal.

If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.

  • Too bad I didn't know he would give it to me before I stabbed him in the back lol. Next time I'll try talking first, than stabbing.

  • Is it hard fighting the Four Kings prematurely (if anyone has a better word please tell me)?

Because it seems that would be kind of difficult to kill them before the others.  Btw just got the Gravelord Sword and it's AMAZING

  • Well if you want to get into the Darkwraith covenant, you need to fight them prematurely. Meaning you need to fight them before you get the lordvessle.

I later found out that you have to kill the guy to get the key to drain the New Londo Ruins because he won't give it to you unless you have the lordvessle...unless you kill him lol.

And yea, the Greavelord Sword is pretty sweet. I like the toxicity attack it does. It's great for PVP, but I find my self using the fully upgraded sword you get from Gray Wolf Sifs soul. It looks cooler in my opinion haha.

  • This isn't correct. You have to fight them before PLACING the lordvessal. As long as you don't talk to Frampt AFTER getting the lordvessal, you can fight them without killing Ingval.

If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.

  • Good to know lol. I haven't been checking up on the Dark Souls wiki page lately so I'm just going off what was thought before the flood of info came out.

  • It's cool. Some of the NPC interactions have such specific time requirements, it is ridiculous. The hardest thing in the whole game is completing the Onion Knight and his daughter quest line. Trying to keep that dude above 1/2 health while fighting 4 Chaos Eaters is nigh impossible. I crushed my first playthrough and I still couldn't do this.

If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.

  • I read somewhere that the best thing to do is kill 3 of them before he gets there, then let him kill the 4th.  He will stil have the same reaction as if he helped you kill all of them

  • Lol, yea that Onion Knight side quest is crazy. Though if you have high pyromancy and Great Chaos Fireball, or whatever its called, spell you can almost one shot all of them since they are pretty close together and that spell has pretty good splash effect.

Though I haven't finished that side quest my first play though since I unknowingly skipped a few interactions with the Onion Knight before getting to that part, I'll just have to be more careful in my second playthough.
