The lights are on
This is a group dedicated to the hardest games this generation, the Souls series.
And I don't mean all enemies, because I know all of them suck. I'm talking about that special one that never without fail gets you down, always getting the best of you. For me, this special someone are those reviving skeletons in The Catacombs. Why? No soul drops, high damage, ridiculous attacks, and the fact they KEEP REVIVING (until you kill the pyromancer that is).
Yea I hated those skeles too, until I learned that if you have a Divine Enhanced weapon they won't respawn, lol.
For me, I don't hate any particular enemy more than the other. The thing that got to me the most was Tomb of the Giants. That place is TOO DAM DARK lol. I can't tell you how many times I walked off a ledge. Keep in mind I didn't find the Skull Lantern my first play through and I wasn't too big on magic so I didn't have that Light Spell. Though I did have a few good laughs there when Black Phantoms would invade me and we both would pretty much tip toe around there in fear of walking off a ledge lmao. That was the only good time I had at that nasty place.
I unknowingly made a divine weapon and then went into the catacombs. I had no idea the skeletons respawned haha
Yea, after you kill the skeles they put them selves back together and freaking push you off the cliff because you had no idea they did that! lol.
Just my experience there before I figured out I needed a divine weapon to acutely make any progress there ><
It feels so good to kill them when you do have a divine weapon. Try reviving now, you bastards!!
Yea! That place is a bit more fun to explore once you have that divine "safety blanket" to cover your ass, lol.
I'm pretty sure you'll find an ember there, as well as the NPC Patches, and if you played Demon's Souls, you'll know what to expect from Patches, lol.
The Pisaca in The Duke's Archives. Basically the Squid Head Guards from Demon's Souls, except, with the move where they wrap their tentacles around your head and do the insta-death move, they can literally leap across the screen to grab you. They don't need to be close for it to connect. This is a warning for anyone who hasn't been there yet.
If you bred HK-47, Shale, Chai Ka and Wrex, the gaming world would explode from sheer badassery.
I never had issue with the skeletons respawing once I killed the fire throwing guy in the area. It did take me forever to realize thats what you had to do to keep them down though.
Just use a divine weapon on the skeletons, it will kill them for good.
Wait, I'm the first to mention this?! Bonewheel skeletons! They're the worst, if they hit you unarmed on a wall they'll grind you to death.
I once had one smack me with shield up, grind down my stamina with me frozen in place, then do the same to my health before I could get away.
Also, no matter how strong you get, due to their rythm, you'll always have to let them have the first move.
Skeletons were always a breeze, by then I was high enough level to go through without any trouble. My true hate goes towards the Water hydra, I always fought it early game. Its head go all over the place and I find myself chasing after the few that are left later in the fight. Only to find it near impossible to land a hit before they resurface and I don't have a strong emphasis on bow usage in this game. Plus the pit in which the hydra stands, if you don't pay attention, there you go, dead, having to restart the whole ordeal. It's not very hard to slay the beast. but it was always annoying to, I never enjoyed it at all.
You mean regular skeletons right? Because I gotta call bs if you're saying bonewheels are a breeze.
Yeah, I was primarily a melee character[only way to play Dark Souls], but on none of my 3 playthroughs were those guys ever not a pain.
Those hate those toxic blowdart bastards were annoying for me especially if you out of purple clump moss and don't have the remedy spell equipped. And those bloated head mages in the expansion suck too since its tougher to dodge those damn homing darkness blasts lol.
Oh also I recently platnumed Dark Souls. I feel obligated to mention that since its easily the most satisfying platinum trophy for me. I'm so damn proud of it, lol.
The Hydra in Ash Lake is super easy. Just run past him. Get to the Stone Dragon, and the Hydra just dies.
@Aeolus, Welcome to the club! But, it was really a sinch compared to Demon's. I think I had about a hundred million souls, on the last section of cloud ruler, grindind that one skeleton samuria for a pure bladestone I think, before I decided that particular Platinum wasn't worth it.
