Which i7 are we discussing? The older versions or the 2600/K. If it's the older ones I can't help you. However, the i7 2600K is only really good if you use highly thread applications such as video rendering. If you strictly game than an i5 2500K is more than good enough for anything you'll be doing.

Yeah I realized that later. Most of the forums here are empty it seems. Only the one I joined for because of my friend has any active posters it seems.
