I think ham's point is that gensect is genetically modified while blastoise was naturally made that way
Vittoria per gli Assassini!
Exactly what I was going to say Assassin. The fact that it was modified by humans is what Ham is talking about. I don't quite agree with Ham about it not being a actual pokemon though. I definitely get where he's coming form.
@ Eli: Of course this isn't limited to gen I. And of course I know that there are other ghost types man! The only games I haven't play are gen V games, so those are the only ones I don't really know about. I'm just saying that they aren't as common as Ghastly. Yes Poocheyna was fairly common, but for the most part dark types are uncommon and the good ones are rare.
This debate could easily go into the next decade and never reach a satisfactory conclusion for all parties involved. It's all too subjective.
Now you're playing with power!
I think Dark types in general aren't as amazing as others because a ghost can learn Dark Pulse and other things like that. But I'm pretty sure someone will say something that will change my stance.
I like dark dual types more. Houndoom, dusclops, I think tyranitar is one as well; anyways they all are powerful in my opinion
I personally don't like most dark type moves, they're not straight up attacks. There's all these technicalities to most of them. What is nice is that they are immune to psychic moves. You're entitled to have your own stance.
@ Assassin: Me too, I like duel type dark pokemon. What's great is when you have a ghost\dark pokemon, which there are only two, they have no weaknesses.
Bite and crunch are pretty straight up attacks. And yeah they have no weakness but put them up against a solid or tanked normal type like snorlax or dunsparce and you're in for a good fight.
They don't really have many strengths either though.
That would be a good battle, just be sure that they don't know too many ghost and normal type moves respectively.
What are the two dark/ghost Pokemon? I think Darkrai is one.
I like that we took over the Bug Appreciation thread.
I usually round out my normal types with almost anything but normal moves. Lol.
I thought it was banette and dusclops. Not 100% though.
The two Dark/Ghost Pokémon are Sableye and Spiritomb.
Yeah it makes sense I wouldn't know about which Pokemon are Ghost Dark.
Yeah I was wrong
I actually use a bug pokemon all the time in Black Version. Galvantula is amazing. I am experimenting with Durant, too, and it isn't half bad.
"I'm a dude, playin' a dude, disguised as anotha dude! You a dude that don't know what dude he is!" -Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder
I use bug pokemon all the time too, I really like them. Just know that you are probably going to take some flak for liking them.
I will smite anyone who flacks me.
