As we all should know by now, New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be the first retail game that Nintendo ever released that can be bought either by buying it at a video game store or downloading it from the Nintendo eShop. In order to encourage downloading games from the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo is giving away DOUBLE the coins on Club Nintendo if you download it from the Nintendo eShop. That means you'll get 100 coins! Also, it has just recently been revealed how much space New Super Mario Bros. 2 takes up. It takes up 2,950 blocks (370MB). New Super Mario Bros. 2 is going to be released in less than a month, so are you going to be getting it at a video game store or by downloading it from the Nintendo eShop?

I'm going with physical. I have some issues with Digital Distribution that go beyond 'can't resell.' I find that I have a stronger connection with physical games, where I can look at the boxart and just relax. Xenoblade had some wonderful boxart if you reversed it. Not to mention physical pre-order bonus's and special editions. I just like physical more then digital.
What was the pre-order bonus for NSMB2 anyway? All I remember is that it wasn't that good and Europe got a better one.

I'm probably going physical too whenever I get the game (won't be near launch). 2,950 is a lot blocks and I don't feel like getting a bigger SD card just for one game. Although double the coins is tempting, I'm gonna have to pass. I will say though, it's good that Nintendo is doing this. I hope they do this for more games in the future and some games they already released.
Yeah I have to do physical. I'm just about out of blocks so downloading full retail games isn't for me. I don't really want to change cards but I think eventually I will have to. The pre-order bonus was only online and it was a Gold Mario pin. Go to Gamestop's website and you can check it out.
For me, I am just going to have to go physical. The fact that Nintendo is giving away 100 coins if you download it is tempting, but, as Gaming Warthog said, I like to be able to look at the box art and relax too. Also, although I recently got a 32GB SD card (it has almost 250,000 blocks!), i'd still prefer to have the physical copy. Plus, it is always fun and exciting when you're going down to GameStop to pick up a game you've been waiting a long time for. You can even do streetpass there!
i'm getting the physical version of it like everyone else with my birthday money(and this game comes out on my birthday also)
I'll stick to the physical version. I'm not really confident in downloading the full version of a retail game online. Especially Nintendo. I've never done that, actually. If a game is available in downloadable or physical form, I go with physical every time.
