Okay, so I've been hearing a lot about people hating the new doctor. I'll agree, he's never gonna be as good as Tennant, but he still does a good job in the role. I think it's more of the writers' fault, and not the actor's that eleven isn't as good as ten. I haven't seen season 6 yet, but what from what I've seen in season 5, Smith's done a good job! Big Bang was a brilliant episode! and so was Eleventh Hour, Beast Below, the one with Van Gogh! I think that fans are judging Smith much to harshly. I think most the fans are upset that Tennant has regenerated, and that a lot of them are taking it out on the new guy. Smith has big shoes to fill, and I think he's done a really good job.

It's a testament to how good the character is, how good the show is written, and how good both Matt Smith and Tennant are at acting.

I just...don't like smith. It has nothing to do with tennant or any previous doctors. something just doesn't sit right with me on smith. I don't maybe it is the writing.

Is it mannerisms? Eccentricity?

I think it's like a Solid Snake/ Raiden thing.

I've heard people say "I think he's a bit too weird." Is that why he isn't liked as much as Tennant?

I think Smith is a great Doctor. He does a great job of remaining an exemplar but he never seems to come off as arrogant.

I blame the writing, though there are a hand full of episodes I DID enjoy. I believe Matt makes a great Doctor.

Matt is my 2nd favorite, I don't see why people would hate him.  He perfectly fits the role of an eccentric humanoid alien.  I also think the writing is great, just a little weird.

Tennant is my favorite, but smith is a very, VERY close second. When he gets mad, it makes you look at the doctor a different way.

i agree with you. he is doing an awesome job as the doctor and people say hes too wierd but hes kinda supposed to be i mean he is an alien

Nine was humorous, Ten was serious, and Eleven (to me) is a perfect blend.

While Tennant is still my favorite, I think Matt Smith is an AMAZING Doctor.  He brings something unique to the show, while keeping the same 'Doctor' feel that all of the previous ones (Well, nine and ten) had.

So what I'm trying to say, is... I like Matt Smith now, Matt Smith is cool.
