The lights are on
This is the place for everything Batman. From comics, to movies, to, of course games. Come here to discuss anything that has to do with the Dark Night
I really wish they would do a Batman beyond movie. Feelings?
@ The Brain: I wasn't too fond of that version of Batman but wouldn't mind seeing a movie done of it. Who'd you have in mind for director, acting roles, and what not?
My pull list
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
lets say darren aronofsky for director, seeing as he was attached to the other unmade batman film, batman year one, and he's about the biggest freaking comic nerd working in film right now, honestly I think I just want to see him make a comic book movie, but his grungy style would definitely make for a believable future gotham and his in depth characters would make for a very believable characterization of an older embittered bruce wayne who finally got too old to carry on the good fight and gave up, plus the fact that Terry Mcginnis' origin is so freaking dark, I mean, his father was killed in a hit by the company he worked for after he uncovered plans to sell a deadly nerve gas to terrorists, lol if they did make this movie it'd be pretty dark and angry and thoughtful, damn now I'm all excited for a movie that'll never get made, oh well, at least the current comic series is continuing the series' storyline so with any luck we'll keep getting more batman beyond, just not a live-action movie

I never saw anything wrong with the animation, why does it have to be live-action?
it doesn't, they were going to make a movie awhile back though, thats what the thread is about
Hmm. I never heard that they were going to make one. The TV series was good though. I guess now that Nolan's trilogy is done they could make it.
One died in India. Three was tracked down in Brazil. I am the only one left. I am The Second Musketeer
It would be odd for a Batman Beyond film to be made after the Nolan trilogy. Would it take place in his Batman's future? If not, a Batman film would have to be made before Batman Beyond in order for us to become attached to the world, as well as to not confuse casual viewers.
batman beyond the show stands pretty well on its own, we all know who batman is and what he does, all we need to fill us in would be that opening scene with a bruce in his 50's realizing he's finally getting too old to fight crime anymore
@Chaos: Not really familiar with Aronofsky but I did look him up on imdb. The setting you mentioned for starting a Batman Beyond would work for me.
