  • I got lost in the woods for awhile, but now I'm back. I was happy to see that Adym and Deck took care of the group while I was gone. Making them co-owners was a great choice...well...except for maybe Adym...he gets drunk with power pretty easily. ;)

So, I'd like to take this time to discuss what everyone has going on. You don't have to answer all of these questions, but I figured we could discuss what you are currently playing/listening/watching/reading.

    Listening to:

I've been in a very creepy/melancholy song type of mood. October always does that to me lol.

    Watching:

Halloween is my favorite time of year, so I've been getting myself ready by watching some of my favorite horror films.

    Reading:

One of my personal favorites from King.

    Playing:

I sheared a piece of my thumb off at the tip, and I haven't been able to play anything for the past week or so lol. It's healing up rather nicely though, so I'll be back to playing some vidya quite soon.

  • Sorry about that, I forgot that when you create a thread, the youtube link doesn't show up. I've gotta figure out how to do that lol.

  • Power abuse. Power abuse?! Pistols at dawn!

I don't have much going on right now. I've been doing a lot of achievement whoring lately, almost at 100,000G. I tried Resident Evil 6 but it was too difficult. I was on normal on Leon's campaign and I was getting my ass handed to me. That's on the back burner right now. Dragon's Dogma is pretty good though.

I was reading The Shining but I put that on hold so I could read The Hobbit instead. From what I've read so far I don't really see how they could stretch it across more than one movie but we'll see.

I also bought Dune. I'm eager to start reading that.

    Get that thumb sorted out.

  • And Breaking Bad season 5 and Dexter.

    But mostly Breaking Bad.

  • I sort of wished they weren't turning the Hobbit into a trilogy. But they are pulling stuff from the 'Lost Tales of Middle Earth" etc to fill it out. Oh well fingers crossed it doesn't get muddled.

Dune is a frakking awesome book. You should when chance permits read them all: Children of Dune, Dune Messiah, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune...yeah pretty much the entire series. If you dig Frank Herberts style you should also give the White Plague and the Lazarus Project a read.

Rumor has it A-man sheared his thumb off while wiggling the sticks...

RE6 does feel different than any other in the series, I really like it so far(What I've played of it)but it has definitely let me down in a lot of ways. I haven't played DD yet, but I'm looking forward to it. It will have to be on the backlog for awhile though. I plan on going through  BL2 after RE6, and then running through the DLC for Dark as it'll be out by then.

I'm kinda worried about them stretching the Hobbit a bit too thin, but I'm excited for it nonetheless.

As Deck pointed out, Dune is amazing. I'd also recommend the 84 film directed by David Lynch, it certainly has it's problems, but there are moments of brilliance throughout.

"Get that thumb sorted out" I'm trying to brother lol.

  • @Adym......I didn't tell Aaron you abused your powers.....As for the list currently watching Prometheus on DVD(would be watching walking dead....f***** Dish) I'm reading Cloud Atlas and The Lord of the Flies for school and lastly I'm playing Metro and The Walking Dead Game. It's good to have you back Aaron.

  • Recently, I've been playing some Minecraft, Resonance of Fate, Persona 4, all the different Slender maps (pretty freaky stuff imo), and replaying some classics like Timesplitters FP and Legend of Zelda Wind Waker.

I've been holding off on getting RE6 because of mixed reviews. Aaron likes it for the most part. How does everyone else feel about?

As for the Hobbit movie. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope they make a video game based on it *snickers*

  • I've been replaying some older games like Midnight Club LA, while I wait for Assassin's Creed 3 (which is starting to get to me lol). And watching The Walking Dead.

  • How was the season premiere of Walking Dead guys? No spoilers please but was better, worse, or on par with last year?

  • Welcome back, Aaron! Sorry to hear about the thumb. :(

    Listening to:

    I just love this song.

And this song, too. Why they never turned this into a video is beyond me. D:

I'm playing Borderlands right now. It just seemed like the right time to get into it with the sequel coming out.

As for reading, Tumlbr. Lots of Tumblr. :D

I <3 the Dune movie, too. It gets a lot of hate and sniggering, but it's truly one of the most otherworldly scifi movies I've ever seen.

  • I've been playing Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2 and Dishonored.

Listening; well I have listened to a little David Bowie the other day and that's all.

Reading; uh...does my Gameinformer copy count? Other than that, nothing.

Watching; I got Prometheus on DVD/BlueRay so I watched that. I'm gonna have to see that alternate ending, and also The Walking Dead.

  • Forgot listening...I'm currently listening to The Killers and Mumford and Sons new album.

  • Deckard,

They're turning the Hobbit into a trilogy? Man, are they that greedy or what?

  • OLS: that's pretty much how it comes across. Peter's doing it so it'll be good but I'm not really feeling the fact that he's shoving LOTOR characters in there: Galadriel, Legolas, Aragorn and Frodo (apparently Bilbo will be telling Frodo of his early adventures at the beginning and the Hobbit will be a flashback of sorts...so...). Again, fingers crossed.
