Hello and welcome to the Game Informer Online Bronies group here on… well, Game Informer Online. If you enjoy talking about My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, you’re in the right place. In this group, we have loads of threads and activities dedicated to either the show, or the people in the group. Want to speculate about an upcoming episode? You can do that. Want to show off your fan-art, or talk about fan-art with other artists? You can do that too. Want to play video games with your fellow bronies? You can even do that!
But of course, you probably know that already. What you may not know, however, is that not everything goes here. Game Informer Online has specific rules to try and make this an all-ages friendly site, and this being a group about cartoon ponies, we’re going to uphold those rules.
Most of these rules stem from the regular GIO rules, but some were created specifically with this group in mind. Please be sure to read over them carefully and put them to use whenever you partake in the group.
By the way, if you break the rules, you make Dashie sad. Don't make Dashie sad.
Rule #1: Be Nice.
If an argument or something of the like comes up, deal with it in a civil manner, and take it out of the group as soon as possible. We’d rather not have stuff like that take place here. After all, friendship is magic. On a related note, trolling will not be tolerated. You will be banned without hesitation if you begin seriously insulting another member or posting something intended to cause problems by starting an argument.
Rule #2: Don’t Post Unnecessary Threads.
Certainly not the most important rule, but one that needs to be upheld regardless. If you have something that you’d like to post or discuss, make sure there’s not already a thread for it first. It keeps the forums clean. If you’re not sure if the topic deserves a new thread or not, ask one of the group mods for help.
Rule #3: No NSFW/Disturbing Content/Strong Language.
This should be implied just by common sense, but better safe than sorry. If you have something that’s intensely graphic, sexual, or has very strong language please refrain from posting it. Sexual images are not allowed at all, violent imagery is alright sometimes, as long as you link it and there’s a strong and descriptive warning, and strong language requires a warning as well. We want to keep this site family friendly.
Rule #4: Love and Tolerate.
If someone makes their way into the group just to troll us, ignore their posts and alert a group mod immediately. It will be taken care of. Do not try to backlash at the troll, as it will be a fruitless effort.
...wait.
Rule #5: Keep the Group Stuff In the Group.
If you go around posting irrelevant pony puns or references on GI articles or blogs, you will be banned. When it’s relevant to the topic at hand, or used as a slight reference and joke, more power to you. However, just posting nonsensical, uncalled for references on articles will not be tolerated.
Rule #6: Do Not Invite Trolls.
Like Rule #3, this should be common sense, but we’ve actually had this problem. If you think someone will harass other users, DO NOT INVITE THEM INTO THE GROUP.
Rule #7: No Spoilers For Episodes.
At least, not until two days after a new episode of Friendship Is Magic airs. New episodes always air on Saturdays. The following Tuesday, at 12:00 AM EST is when spoilers are allowed outside of the spoiler thread.
