The lights are on
Do you like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Then come on in, my friend!
For those of you who don't follow MLB (which I know is the vast majority of you) something very special happened today, besides the end of the regular season. For the first time since 1967 a player has won the triple crown in batting (most homers in the league, most RBIs in the league, and best batting average) and thankfully for me that player just so happens to play for the Detroit Tigers. Miguel Cabrera hit 44 home runs this season, had 139 RBI's (runs batted in), and had a batting average of .330 this season which basically means that he is going to hit about a third of the stuff you through at him and seeing as the stuff that is thrown typically exceeds speeds of 80 mph and is about the size of an orange id say thats pretty impressive.
Babe Ruth never got a triple crown, this guy did.
Anyway as I mentioned before the regular season is over, and the playoffs are set. On Friday there will be two wildcard games, each will be a one game series. The winner of the Oriels Rangers game will go on to face the Yankee's in a traditional 7 game series. The winner of the Braves Cardinals game will go on to play the Nationals. Also the other first round match-ups in the playoffs are Tigers v A's and Giants v Red's.
Ah, baseball, a fine sport. Congratulations Miguel Cabrera on winning the Triple Crown.
Indeed it is, and this is by far the best time of the season. Gotta love October
If you follow football, you should understand this.
Hey that baseball thing-a-ma-jig is still happening! Even though the Tigers and the Giants both won their respective the big story coming up tonight is baltimore. In the top of the 13th the Orioles scored the winning run against the Yankee's and have forced a finial game five.
Game 5 will be played tomorrow in the Bronx at 5
Also the Nationals forced a game five against the Cardinals. They will be playing tomorrow at 8:30.
The Tigers are 1 win away from a trip to the world series. So yeah, Im pumped.
The Detroit Tigers have swept the Yankee's and are now heading to the world series. *woo hoo*
lol the Jets.
TEXANS CLINCH THE AFC SOUTH TODAY WITH A WIN OVER DIVISIONAL RIVAL AND ALMOST-ASSURED PLAYOFF TEAM INDIANAPOLIS!
You didn't have to yell so loud. Look, you cracked my computer screen.
After this weekend of football, it has been decided which teams will be in the NFL championships.
It will be the San Francisco 49ers vs The Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship, and the New England Patriots vs the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship.
With that being said, who do you want/think will win the AFC/NFC championship and move onto the Superbowl?
As much as I dislike them, Pats will win it all. No Eli to stop their dominance this year, and their defense is far more aggressive and potent than in years past. Baltimore will give them a fight, but I don't think it will be enough to stop them. Atlanta and San Fran is a toss-up, but whoever moves on I don't believe will give the Pats much to worry about.
I'm not really a sports guy, but my team is the 49ers. I hope they can do something right with their games.
